Add Chaos (Sycophant Hex) Stories to Calibre
Download the complete Chaos (Sycophant Hex) story as an EPUB with WP Downloader, then add the file to calibre. From there, you can edit its details and cover, convert it to another format, read it on your computer, or transfer it to an e-reader.
Download the Chaos story with WP Downloader
WP Downloader is a free web tool, with nothing to install. You do not need a Chaos account to download stories from chaos.sycophanthex.com.
Open the Chaos story downloader, find the story you want on Chaos, and copy its URL. It should look like this:

You can choose whether to include the story’s images. WP Downloader downloads the whole story from Chaos. It does not download a single chapter or a list of stories.

Add the downloaded EPUB to calibre
calibre is a free e-book manager for Windows, macOS, and Linux. After the EPUB finishes downloading, open calibre and use Add books to select the file.
The story will appear in your calibre library. Open it in calibre’s e-book viewer to check the chapters, text, and any images you chose to include.
You can keep your downloaded Chaos stories together in the calibre library and manage them from there.
Organize story details and covers
calibre lets you edit a story’s metadata and cover. Select the story, open the metadata editor, and change any details you want to use for organizing your library.
Using the same naming style for each story can make a larger collection easier to browse. You can also replace or update the cover.
Read the story in calibre
calibre includes an e-book viewer, so you can read the EPUB directly from your library on your computer.
The viewer also has a Read aloud feature for listening to the story. The EPUB remains stored in your calibre library.
Convert the story to another format
WP Downloader provides EPUB files and, after a free Discord sign-in, PDF files. It does not create MOBI, AZW3, or TXT files.
To make another e-book format, add the EPUB to calibre and use its conversion tools. calibre can convert:
- EPUB to AZW3
- EPUB to MOBI
- EPUB to PDF
You can keep the original EPUB in your library alongside any converted copies.
Send the story to an e-reader over USB
Connect your e-reader to the computer with a USB cable, then use calibre to send the book to the connected device.
Choose a format your e-reader supports. You can transfer the EPUB or use calibre to convert it before sending it.

Keep updated stories organized
WP Downloader cannot add new chapters to an EPUB already in your calibre library. When a Chaos story has new chapters, return to the downloader, paste its link again, and download another copy of the whole story.
Add the new EPUB to calibre, then edit its metadata and cover if needed. You can choose which copy to keep before sending the story to your reading device.

No. You do not need to sign in to Chaos when downloading its stories with WP Downloader.
Can I download only one chapter from Chaos?
No. WP Downloader downloads complete Chaos stories. It does not download individual chapters or story lists from this site.
Which format should I add to calibre?
Use EPUB. WP Downloader provides it for free, and calibre can read, manage, and convert it.
Can calibre turn the EPUB into a Kindle format?
Yes. calibre can convert an EPUB to AZW3 or MOBI. WP Downloader does not create either format.
Will calibre automatically receive new chapters?
No. WP Downloader does not update an existing EPUB. Download the complete story again when you want a newer copy, then add the new file to calibre.
