Add Occlumency Stories to Your Calibre Library

Start by downloading the complete Occlumency story as an EPUB with WP Downloader. You can then add the file to calibre, edit its metadata and cover, read it on your computer, convert it to another format, or transfer it to an e-reader.

Download the Occlumency story

EPUB is free for everyone and works with calibre. WP Downloader can also create a PDF after a free Discord sign-in. EPUB is the better choice if you plan to edit the book’s details or convert it in calibre.

Add the EPUB to your calibre library

Calibre is a free e-book manager for Windows, macOS, and Linux. Once calibre is installed and the EPUB is on your computer:

1. Open calibre.
2. Select Add books.
3. Find the EPUB you downloaded from WP Downloader.
4. Select the file and add it to your library.

The story will appear with the other books in your calibre library. Select it to view its stored information or open it in calibre’s e-book viewer.

Organize the story in calibre

Consistent book details can make a growing fanfiction collection easier to browse. Calibre lets you edit the story’s metadata and cover after importing it.

Select the story and open calibre’s metadata editor. Review the stored details and change anything you use to organize your library. You can also replace the cover with a different image.

How you organize the collection is up to you. Using the same system for each story will make individual works easier to find later.

Read or listen in calibre

Open the story in calibre’s e-book viewer to read it on your computer while keeping the EPUB in the same library where you organize it.

The viewer also includes a Read aloud feature for listening to the story on your computer.

Convert the story to another format

WP Downloader creates EPUB files and, after a free Discord sign-in, PDF files. It does not create MOBI, AZW3, or TXT files.

Calibre can convert the imported EPUB if you need a different e-book format. For example, it can convert EPUB to AZW3, MOBI, or PDF. Select the story, open calibre’s conversion option, and choose the format you need.

You can keep the original EPUB in your library after creating another version. This leaves you with a source file for reading or making more conversions later.

Move the story to an e-reader

Calibre can send books to an e-reader connected to your computer over USB. Connect the device and wait for calibre to recognize it, then select the Occlumency story and use the send-to-device option.

If your e-reader needs a different format, convert the EPUB in calibre before transferring it.

Update a story when new chapters appear

WP Downloader cannot add new chapters to an EPUB you have already downloaded. When an Occlumency story is updated, download the complete story again and add the new file to calibre.

You can keep both versions or replace the older copy, depending on how you manage your library.
