How to Add The Sietch Stories to Calibre

Download the story with WP Downloader
Open the The Sietch downloader. WP Downloader is a free web tool, and you do not need to install anything.
Copy the URL of the story thread you want to save. A The Sietch story link usually looks like this:
https://www.the-sietch.com/index.php?threads/some-story-name.123456/Paste the link into WP Downloader. It will detect the site and give you the option to include the story’s images.
Choose EPUB to import the story directly into calibre. EPUB downloads are free for everyone. You can also download a PDF after signing in with a free Discord account.
WP Downloader downloads the entire story from The Sietch. It does not download individual chapters or lists. Since stories on the site are forum threads, the tool gathers the threadmarked chapters into a single book.
You can sign in with your The Sietch account to download members-only stories that the account can already read. WP Downloader uses your credentials only to fetch the story you requested. It cannot bypass paywalls, locked content, or age restrictions.

Add the EPUB to your calibre library
calibre is a free e-book manager for Windows, macOS, and Linux. Once the EPUB has downloaded:
- Open calibre on your computer.
- Select Add books.
- Find the EPUB you downloaded from WP Downloader.
- Select the file to add it to your library.
The story will appear with the other books in your calibre library. You can also import several downloaded stories and keep them together in one offline collection.
Edit the metadata and cover
Use calibre’s metadata editor to change the imported book’s title, author name, or cover. This can help you keep author names and titles consistent across your library.
Changes made in calibre apply only to the copy in your library. They do not change the original thread on The Sietch.
Read or listen in calibre
calibre’s e-book viewer can open the imported EPUB on your computer. It also has a Read aloud feature for listening to the book instead of reading it on screen.
Convert the EPUB for another device
calibre can convert the imported EPUB to formats such as AZW3, MOBI, and PDF.
WP Downloader does not create MOBI or AZW3 files. Download the EPUB first, then use calibre to convert it. You can keep the original EPUB in your library and convert it again later if needed.
Send the story to an e-reader
Connect your e-reader to your computer with a USB cable. After calibre recognizes it, select the story and send it to the connected device.

Get newly added chapters
