How to Back Up EFP Fanfic Stories for Personal Reading

Download an EFP Fanfic story with WP Downloader

1. Copy the story link
Open the story on efpfanfic.net and copy its address. An EFP Fanfic story URL looks like this:

2. Paste the link into WP Downloader
Paste the address into the downloader box. WP Downloader will recognize the EFP Fanfic link and prepare the story.
You can sign in with your EFP Fanfic account if you need to access a members-only story. WP Downloader can download only the content that your account is allowed to read, and it uses your credentials only to fetch the story you requested.
It cannot bypass members-only access, paywalls, locked chapters, or age restrictions.
3. Choose a file format
EPUB is free for everyone. PDF requires a free Discord sign-in.
You can also choose whether to include the story’s images.

Save the file as a personal backup
After the download finishes, find the EPUB or PDF on your device. You can give it a clearer filename and move it to the folder where you keep your personal e-books.
If you save several stories, organizing them by archive or author can make them easier to find.
Keep each file for your own reading. Do not re-upload, republish, or share downloaded copies.
Add the EPUB to calibre
calibre is a free e-book manager for Windows, macOS, and Linux. You can use it to organize a personal library.
To add your backup:
- Open calibre.
- Select “Add books.”
- Choose the EPUB you downloaded from WP Downloader.
- Check the title, author, metadata, and cover.
- Edit the metadata or cover if needed.
You can read the story on your computer with calibre’s e-book viewer. The viewer also has a “Read aloud” feature.
calibre can convert an EPUB to AZW3, MOBI, PDF, and other formats. It can also send books over USB to a connected e-reader.
Move the story to your reading device
On a phone or tablet, open or import the EPUB in an app that supports the format. Keep the downloaded file in your backup folder after adding it to the app.

Download a new copy when the story changes
An EPUB from WP Downloader does not update itself. It contains the version of the story that was available when you downloaded it.
If the author adds chapters or revises the story, download the whole story again. The new file will contain the version available at that time. You can replace the earlier copy or keep both versions in your personal library.
