How to Back Up Eros & Sappho Stories

Your downloaded file is a snapshot of the story at the time you saved it. WP Downloader cannot add new chapters to an existing EPUB. Download the story again if you want a copy with later chapters.
Keep your backup somewhere you can find it
Move the file from your downloads folder to a place where you can find it easily. A folder for saved stories is enough. If you download the same story again later, name or organize the copies so you can tell which one is newer.

Read the backup on your phone or tablet
EPUB is a flexible choice for reading on a phone or tablet. After downloading the file:
- Open your device’s file manager or downloads list.
- Find the EPUB file.
- Use the device’s share or open command.
- Select an app that accepts EPUB files.
Once the book is in your reading app, you can open it without returning to the archive. If your preferred app accepts PDF files, choose PDF when downloading the story.
Organize the story with calibre
calibre is a free e-book manager for Windows, macOS and Linux. You can use it to organize and read your saved stories.
To add a backup:
- Open calibre.
- Select Add books.
- Choose the downloaded EPUB.
- Check or edit its metadata and cover if needed.
- Open it in calibre’s e-book viewer.
The viewer has a Read aloud feature for listening to the story on your computer.
calibre can convert an EPUB to AZW3, MOBI or PDF. WP Downloader does not create MOBI, AZW3 or TXT files itself. You can also connect an e-reader over USB and use calibre to send the book to it.
Move the backup to an e-reader
The transfer process depends on your e-reader. calibre can send a compatible book to a connected device over USB and convert the EPUB first if the device needs another format.

Open the transferred file once to check that the story displays correctly. Keep the original download as your backup, even if you also put a converted copy on the e-reader.
