How to save a copy of a FanFiktion.de story

Open the copy on your phone or tablet
Open an EPUB with an e-book reading app that supports the format. Depending on the app, you may be able to open the file directly or import it.
Open a PDF with a PDF reader. If you plan to organize the story in calibre or convert it later, start with the EPUB.
Keep the original file after importing it into a reading app so you can move it to another app or device later.
Organize the story with calibre
calibre is a free e-book manager for Windows, macOS, and Linux. You can use it to keep a personal library of downloaded stories.
After installing calibre:
- Select “Add books.”
- Choose the EPUB you downloaded from WP Downloader.
- Edit its metadata or cover if you want.
- Read it in calibre’s e-book viewer or transfer it to another device.
The e-book viewer includes a Read aloud feature, so you can listen to the story on your computer.
calibre can convert EPUB files to formats such as AZW3, MOBI, or PDF. WP Downloader does not create AZW3, MOBI, or TXT files, but you can use calibre when your e-reader needs another format.
Move the story to an e-reader
calibre can send books to an e-reader connected by USB. Add the EPUB to your calibre library, connect the e-reader, and use calibre’s device transfer option.

Download a new copy when the story changes
A downloaded EPUB does not update when the author edits the story or publishes another chapter. WP Downloader cannot add new chapters to an EPUB you already have.
To save the latest available version, paste the FanFiktion.de story URL into WP Downloader again and download a new file. Adding the date to each filename can help you tell the versions apart.
