What the downloaded file contains
The EPUB is a snapshot of the story as it appeared when you downloaded it. If the author or archive later edits, unpublishes, or deletes the story, your saved file will remain as it was.
An existing EPUB does not update when the story changes. To get later chapters or edits, paste the story link into WP Downloader and download it again. You can replace the older file or keep both versions for your own reading.

Store your copy
Move the downloaded EPUB to a folder you will remember. If you download another version later, name or organize the files so you can tell which one is current.
You can also add the file to calibre, a free e-book manager for Windows, macOS, and Linux. Select “Add books” in calibre, then choose the downloaded EPUB. Calibre can keep the story with the rest of your personal e-book collection and lets you edit its metadata or cover.
You may also want to keep another personal copy on one of your own devices. The EPUB itself is your saved copy, so do not rely on the archive page as its only location.
Read the story on a phone or computer
On a phone or tablet, open the EPUB in an app that supports EPUB files. You can read the downloaded story without returning to lcfanfic.com.
On Windows, macOS, or Linux, add the EPUB to calibre and open it in the e-book viewer. The viewer includes a “Read aloud” feature for listening on your computer.
If your preferred app does not support EPUB, calibre can convert the file to AZW3, MOBI, or PDF. WP Downloader itself does not create AZW3, MOBI, or TXT files.
Transfer the story to an e-reader
Calibre can send the book to an e-reader connected by USB. Add the EPUB to your calibre library, connect the device, and transfer the book.
