How to Back Up NCISFiction Stories for Personal Reading
Authors and archive sites can edit, unpublish, or delete stories. WP Downloader lets you save a personal EPUB or PDF copy of an NCISFiction story while it is available. The file is a snapshot of the story at the time you downloaded it.
Download the NCISFiction story
WP Downloader is a free web tool with nothing to install. Open the NCISFiction downloader and copy the address of the story you want to save.
An NCISFiction story link usually looks like this:
https://ncisfiction.com/viewstory.php?sid=1234Paste the link into WP Downloader. It detects the site and downloads the whole story. For NCISFiction, it cannot download individual chapters or story lists.
Choose a format:
- EPUB is free for everyone.
- PDF requires a free Discord sign-in.
- You can also choose to include the story’s images.
Signing in to NCISFiction is optional. If you sign in with an account from the site, WP Downloader can fetch members-only stories that the account can read. It uses your credentials only to fetch the story you requested. It cannot bypass paywalls, locked chapters, age restrictions, or other limits on your account.

Store your downloaded copy
Give the downloaded EPUB or PDF a clear name and keep it somewhere you can find again. Including the story title and author in the filename can make a larger collection easier to search.
You may want to keep the original file as your main copy and make another copy for the device where you read. One possible folder structure is:

Story file.epubThe folder names are up to you. Using the same system for each story helps keep your collection separate from temporary downloads.
Add the story to your reading device
Move or import the EPUB into your preferred reading app or device. If you downloaded a PDF, use a PDF reader.
Keep the original file after importing it so you still have a separate personal copy.
Organize the story with calibre
Calibre is a free e-book manager for Windows, macOS, and Linux. To add the EPUB to your calibre library, select Add books and choose the file you downloaded.
Calibre can:
- Edit the book’s metadata and cover
- Open it in the e-book viewer
- Read it aloud from the viewer
- Convert the EPUB to AZW3, MOBI, or PDF
- Send it to an e-reader connected over USB
WP Downloader does not create MOBI, AZW3, or TXT files. If you need AZW3 or MOBI, download the EPUB and convert it with calibre.
Move the story to an e-reader
For Amazon devices and apps, follow the NCISFiction Kindle guide. Kobo readers can use the steps in the NCISFiction Kobo guide.
You can also use calibre to send the book to an e-reader connected to your computer over USB. Keep the original EPUB in your calibre library after the transfer.
Download a new copy after updates
An EPUB from WP Downloader stays as it was when you downloaded it. It does not update when the author adds chapters or edits the story.
To get the newer version, download the whole story again. WP Downloader cannot add chapters to an EPUB you already have, so each download creates a new snapshot.
Keep downloaded copies for your own reading. Do not re-upload or share them.

Can WP Downloader save one NCISFiction chapter?
