How to Back Up Sam & Jack Stories
You can save a personal copy of a Sam & Jack story by downloading it as an EPUB with WP Downloader. The file is a snapshot of the story when you download it, so your copy remains available if the author or site later edits, unpublishes or deletes the story.

EPUB downloads are free for everyone. WP Downloader can also make a PDF, which requires a free Discord sign-in.

You do not need to sign in for public stories. If a story is available only to members, you can sign in with your Sam & Jack account so WP Downloader can fetch it when your account has access. Your credentials are used only to fetch the story you requested. WP Downloader cannot bypass locked content, paywalls or age restrictions.
Store the EPUB safely
When the download finishes, find the EPUB in your browser’s downloads or your device’s file manager. If you plan to save several stories, give each file a name that will be easy to recognize later.
Keep the original EPUB after copying it into a reading app. This gives you a separate backup that you can import again or move to another device.
It is also worth keeping copies in more than one place, such as one on your phone and another on your computer. Avoid leaving your only copy in a temporary downloads folder.
Downloaded stories are for your own reading. Do not re-upload or share them.
Add the story to your phone or tablet
Open the EPUB with your preferred reading app, or use the app’s import option. The wording varies between devices and apps, but the story should appear in your library once you select the file.
Keep the original download after importing it. Some apps create their own copy, while others continue to use the file in its current location. Keeping the original makes it easier to restore your library later.

Organize your backups with calibre
Calibre is a free e-book manager for Windows, macOS and Linux. It can help you manage a growing collection of EPUB files.
Open calibre, choose “Add books” and select the downloaded EPUB. You can store the story in your calibre library, change its metadata or cover, and open it in calibre’s e-book viewer. The viewer also includes a “Read aloud” feature.
Calibre can send books to an e-reader connected by USB. It can also convert an EPUB to formats such as AZW3, MOBI or PDF. WP Downloader does not create MOBI, AZW3 or TXT files itself.
Keep the original EPUB with any converted versions. You can use it again if you change devices or need a different format later.
Save a new copy when the story changes
The downloaded EPUB is not connected to the online story. It contains the version and chapters that were available when you downloaded it.
If the author adds or edits chapters, paste the story link into WP Downloader and download the story again. WP Downloader cannot add new chapters to an existing EPUB.
You can replace the older file, keep it as an earlier snapshot, or save both copies for your personal records. Before removing an older copy, check that the new download contains the version you expected.

Can I keep a Sam & Jack story after it is deleted?
If you downloaded the story before its removal, the EPUB remains a personal snapshot of that version. Keep it for your own reading, and do not re-upload or share it.
