How to Back Up Sheppard/Weir Stories

Authors and archive owners can edit, unpublish, or delete stories. WP Downloader lets you save a personal EPUB copy of a Command Dynamics Sheppard/Weir story as it appears when you download it.

2. Copy its full address. A story link looks like this:

3. Paste the link into WP Downloader.
4. Choose EPUB, which is free for everyone. PDF is also available after you sign in with a free Discord account.
5. Choose whether to include the story’s images.
6. Download the finished file.

For sheppardweir.com, WP Downloader saves the whole story. It cannot download a single chapter or a list of stories.

You do not need to sign in for public stories. If a story is available only to members, you can sign in with your sheppardweir.com account. WP Downloader will use your credentials only to fetch the story you requested, and it can access only content that your account is allowed to read. It cannot bypass account restrictions, locked content, paywalls, or age restrictions.

Treat each download as a snapshot

The EPUB is a copy of the story as it appeared when you downloaded it. It does not stay connected to the original page or update automatically.

If the author adds chapters or revises the story, use WP Downloader to download the whole story again. The new file will contain the version available at that time.

A simple way to manage your copies is:

1. Download the story when you want to keep it.
2. Give the file a recognizable name if needed.
3. Store it with your other personal ebooks.
4. Keep another copy in your usual backup location.
5. Download the story again when you want a newer version.

Keep the EPUB on your phone or tablet

Open the downloaded EPUB in an ebook reader that supports the format. You can also move it to the folder where you keep your other books.

If you prefer PDF, choose that format in WP Downloader after signing in with a free Discord account. WP Downloader does not create MOBI, AZW3, or TXT files.

Organize your copies with calibre

Calibre is a free ebook manager for Windows, macOS, and Linux. You can use it to keep a larger collection of downloaded stories together.

To add a story:

1. Open calibre.
2. Select “Add books.”
3. Choose the EPUB you downloaded from WP Downloader.
4. Edit its metadata or cover if you want.
5. Open it in calibre’s ebook viewer to read it.

The ebook viewer also has a “Read aloud” feature for listening on your computer.

Calibre can convert EPUB files to formats such as AZW3, MOBI, or PDF. It can also send books to a connected e-reader over USB.

Put the story on an e-reader

Transfer the EPUB to a compatible e-reader using the same method you use for other personal ebooks. If you manage your library with calibre, connect the e-reader to your computer and send the book over USB.

FAQ

Will my copy update when the author adds a chapter?

No. The EPUB contains the story as it appeared when you downloaded it. Download the whole story again to get later chapters or revisions.

Can WP Downloader save one chapter from Command Dynamics?

No. WP Downloader downloads whole stories from sheppardweir.com. Single chapters and story lists are not supported.

Do I need a Command Dynamics account?

You do not need an account for public stories. Signing in with your sheppardweir.com account lets WP Downloader fetch members-only stories that your account can already read.

Can I download a MOBI or AZW3 file?

WP Downloader creates EPUB and PDF files. To get MOBI or AZW3, add the EPUB to calibre and convert it.

Is it okay to share my downloaded copy?

No. Keep the downloaded story for your own reading. Do not re-upload or share it.
