Download a Fanfictions.fr story

Go to the Fanfictions.fr downloader. WP Downloader is a free web tool, and there is nothing to install.

1. Find the story on fanfictions.fr.
2. Copy its URL. It should look similar to this:

3. Paste the link into WP Downloader.
4. Choose EPUB or PDF.
5. Choose whether to include the story’s images.
6. Download the file.

EPUB is free for everyone. PDF requires a free Discord sign-in. You do not need a Fanfictions.fr account.

WP Downloader downloads the complete story. It cannot download a single chapter or a list from Fanfictions.fr. If the author adds more chapters, download the story again to get an updated copy. WP Downloader cannot add new chapters to an EPUB you already downloaded.

Add the story to Apple Books

Apple Books opens EPUB and PDF files on iPhone, iPad, and Mac. Imported files appear in your Library.

On iPhone or iPad

1. Open the Files app or Safari’s downloads.
2. Find the EPUB or PDF.
3. Open the Share menu.
4. Choose Books.

Apple Books will add the file to your Library, where you can open it and read it offline.

On Mac

Open the Books app and drag the EPUB into it. You can also choose File, then Add to Library, and select the file.

The story will appear in your Apple Books Library.

How Apple Books Reading Goals work

Reading Goals track how many minutes you read each day and how many books and audiobooks you finish each year.

The daily goal is five minutes by default. To change it, open the Reading Now tab on an iPhone or iPad. On a Mac, open Home.

For an imported Fanfictions.fr story, you may want to check both your daily reading time and your annual finished-books total.

Check whether an imported EPUB counts

Apple does not document whether EPUB files you import yourself count toward daily reading time. You can check how Apple Books handles the file on your device:

1. Note today’s reading time in Apple Books.
2. Open the imported Fanfictions.fr EPUB.
3. Read for a minute or two.
4. Return to Reading Goals.
5. See whether today’s reading time increased.

To check whether finishing the story affects your annual goal, note the annual total before you finish the book and check it again afterward.

Include PDFs in Reading Goals

PDFs count toward Reading Goals only when Include PDFs is turned on.

On a current version of iOS, open Settings, choose Apps, then Books, and turn on Include PDFs. On an older version, open Settings, then Books.

Once the setting is on, open the imported PDF and read for a minute or two. Then check whether the day’s reading time increased. If you read the PDF before turning on Include PDFs, try the test again afterward.

If your reading time does not change

Make sure you opened the file in Apple Books instead of previewing it in Files or Safari. If it is a PDF, check that Include PDFs is turned on.

For an EPUB, Apple Books may not add the reading time on your device. Apple does not provide a setting that guarantees imported EPUB reading will count, so checking your displayed reading time is the best way to find out.
