Count Occlumency Reading in Apple Books Reading Goals
You can download an Occlumency story as an EPUB or PDF, add it to Apple Books, and read it offline. PDFs can count toward your Reading Goal when Include PDFs is turned on. Apple does not document whether EPUB files you import yourself count toward daily reading time, so you will need to check in Apple Books.
Download an Occlumency story with WP Downloader
WP Downloader is a free web tool with nothing to install. Go to the Occlumency downloader and paste the story link into the box.
An Occlumency story link normally looks like this:
http://occlumency.sycophanthex.com/viewstory.php?sid=1234WP Downloader detects the site and downloads the whole story. It cannot download individual Occlumency chapters or reading lists.
Choose a format:
- EPUB is free for everyone.
- PDF requires a free Discord sign-in.
- You can include the story’s images.
Signing in to Occlumency is optional. If a story is available only to members, you can sign in with your Occlumency account to download content that account can already read. WP Downloader does not bypass account requirements or other access restrictions. It uses your account credentials only to fetch the story you requested.

Add the story to Apple Books
Apple Books opens EPUB and PDF files on iPhone, iPad, and Mac. Imported files appear in your Library.
On iPhone or iPad
After WP Downloader creates the file:
- Open the EPUB or PDF from the Files app or Safari’s downloads.
- Tap Share.
- Choose Books.
- Open Apple Books and find the story in your Library.
On Mac
Open the Books app and drag the downloaded EPUB into it. You can also choose File, then Add to Library, and select the file.
The story will appear in your Apple Books Library after it is imported.
How Apple Books Reading Goals work
Apple Books Reading Goals track:
- How many minutes you read each day
- How many books and audiobooks you finish each year
The daily goal is five minutes by default. You can change it from the Reading Now tab on an iPhone or iPad, or from Home on a Mac.
Apple does not say whether EPUB files imported by the reader count toward daily reading time. Check the result on the device and version of Apple Books you use.
Check whether an imported EPUB counts
- Open Apple Books and note today’s reading time.
- Open the imported Occlumency EPUB.
- Read for one or two minutes.
- Return to your Reading Goals.
- See whether today’s reading time increased.
If the total increases, Apple Books is counting the imported EPUB on your device. If it does not, that reading session was not added to the displayed daily total.
Make a downloaded PDF count
A PDF counts toward the reading goal only when Include PDFs is turned on.
On current iOS versions, open Settings, then Apps, Books, and Include PDFs.
On older versions, open Settings, then Books and Include PDFs.
After turning on the setting, open the Occlumency PDF in Apple Books and read for a minute or two. Then check whether today’s reading time increased.

Do imported Occlumency EPUB files count toward Apple Books Reading Goals?

Yes. Apple Books opens EPUB and PDF files on iPhone, iPad, and Mac.
Can WP Downloader download one Occlumency chapter?
No. WP Downloader downloads whole Occlumency stories, not individual chapters or lists.
Will my downloaded story update when Occlumency adds chapters?
No. WP Downloader does not update an existing EPUB. Download the whole story again to get the new chapters.
