Do Spirit Fanfics Stories Count Toward Apple Books Reading Goals?

You can read downloaded Spirit Fanfics stories in Apple Books. PDFs count toward Reading Goals when Include PDFs is enabled. Apple does not clearly document whether EPUB files imported by readers count, so you will need to test the EPUB on your device.

Download a Spirit Fanfics story with WP Downloader

WP Downloader is a free web tool with nothing to install. It can download whole Spirit Fanfics stories as EPUB or PDF files.

1. Find the story on spiritfanfiction.com or socialspirit.com.br.
2. Copy its story URL. It should look like this:

https://www.spiritfanfiction.com/historia/story-name-1234

3. Open the Spirit Fanfics downloader.
4. Paste the URL into the box.
5. Choose EPUB or PDF. EPUB is free for everyone, while PDF requires a free Discord sign-in.
6. Choose whether to include the story’s images, then download the file.

You do not need to sign in to Spirit Fanfics. WP Downloader downloads the whole story, not individual chapters or lists. If the author publishes more chapters later, download the story again. WPD cannot update an existing EPUB.

2. Find the EPUB or PDF file.
3. Open the Share menu.

Apple Books will open and add the story to your Library.

How Apple Books Reading Goals work

Apple Books Reading Goals track how many minutes you read each day and how many books and audiobooks you finish each year.

The daily goal is five minutes by default. You can change it from the Reading Now tab on an iPhone or iPad, or from Home on a Mac.

For downloaded Spirit Fanfics stories, the file format affects how reading time is tracked. Apple provides a setting that lets PDFs count toward Reading Goals. Its documentation does not clearly say whether EPUBs you import yourself add to your daily reading time.

Check whether your Spirit Fanfics EPUB counts

After adding the EPUB to Apple Books:

1. Check today’s reading time in Apple Books.
2. Open the imported Spirit Fanfics EPUB.
3. Read for a minute or two.
4. Return to your Reading Goals.
5. Check whether today’s reading time increased.

If the total rises, Apple Books is counting the imported EPUB’s reading time on your device. If it does not, you can still read the story in Apple Books. It simply may not be adding time to the goal.

Testing the imported file is the only way to check because Apple’s documentation does not give a definite answer for reader-imported EPUBs.

Make a Spirit Fanfics PDF count

PDFs count toward your reading goal when Include PDFs is turned on.

On current iOS versions:

1. Open Settings.
2. Choose Apps.
3. Choose Books.
4. Turn on Include PDFs.

On older versions, open Settings, choose Books, and turn on Include PDFs.

Once the setting is enabled, read the imported PDF in Apple Books. You can then check the day’s total to confirm that the time was recorded.

EPUB is usually the first format to try for a story. PDF has a documented setting for including it in Reading Goals. WP Downloader provides both formats, so you can choose the one that suits how you want to read and track the story.
