Read Wolverine & Rogue Stories and Track Apple Books Reading Goals

Add the story to Apple Books on iPhone or iPad

After the EPUB or PDF finishes downloading:

1. Open the Files app or Safari’s downloads.
2. Find the downloaded story.
3. Open the Share menu.
4. Choose Books.

Apple Books will add the file to your Library, where you can open it and read it offline.

If you downloaded both formats, add the one you plan to read. This will make the correct copy easier to find when you check your Reading Goals.

Add the story to Apple Books on Mac

Open the Books app and drag the EPUB into it. You can also open the File menu, choose Add to Library, and select the downloaded file.

The story will appear in your Library. Apple Books can open EPUB and PDF files on a Mac.

How Apple Books Reading Goals work

Apple Books tracks how many minutes you read each day and how many books and audiobooks you finish each year.

The daily reading goal is five minutes by default. To change it on an iPhone or iPad, open the Reading Now tab. On a Mac, open Home.

Daily reading time and the annual completion goal are tracked separately. Reading for several minutes may increase your daily total without marking the story as finished. The annual goal counts completed books and audiobooks, not the number of minutes you have read.

Do imported Wolverine & Rogue EPUBs count?

Apple’s documentation does not say whether EPUB files you import yourself count toward daily reading time. You can check how Apple Books handles the file on your device:

1. Note today’s reading time in Apple Books.
2. Open the imported EPUB.
3. Read for a minute or two.
4. Return to your Reading Goals.
5. Check whether today’s reading time has increased.

If the total does not change, do not count the imported story toward your goal unless the additional time appears later.

Make PDF reading count toward the goal

PDF reading counts toward Reading Goals only when Include PDFs is turned on.

On current versions of iOS:

1. Open Settings.
2. Choose Apps.
3. Choose Books.
4. Turn on Include PDFs.

On older versions, open Settings, choose Books, and turn on Include PDFs.

Once the setting is enabled, open the imported PDF in Apple Books and read for a minute or two. Then check whether your daily total has increased.

Choose between EPUB and PDF

EPUB is free to download with WP Downloader and can be added directly to your Apple Books library. Apple does not say whether an EPUB you imported yourself will count toward your daily Reading Goal.

Downloading a PDF requires a free Discord sign-in. Apple Books has an Include PDFs setting that allows PDF reading to count toward Reading Goals. Turn it on if you want your time reading the PDF to be included.
