How to Put Library of Moria Stories on a Kindle with calibre

To put a Library of Moria story on a Kindle without Amazon’s Send to Kindle service, download the story as an EPUB with WP Downloader. You can then convert the EPUB to AZW3 in calibre and transfer it to your Kindle over USB.

Download the Library of Moria story as an EPUB

WP Downloader is a free web tool, so you do not need to install anything. It downloads complete Library of Moria stories as e-books for offline reading.

1. Copy the story link

Open the story on libraryofmoria.com and copy its URL. A Library of Moria story address looks like this:

Copy the address of the story itself, rather than an archive or search page. WP Downloader downloads whole stories from Library of Moria, not individual chapters or lists.

2. Paste the link into WP Downloader

Open the Library of Moria downloader and paste the story link into the box. WP Downloader detects the site and downloads the complete story.

You can sign in with your Library of Moria account if the story is available only to members. WP Downloader uses your account to reach content that you can already read. It does not bypass account requirements, age restrictions, or other access controls.

3. Choose EPUB and download the book

Choose EPUB as the output format. EPUB is free for everyone and can be used as the source file for calibre.

You can choose whether to include the story’s images. When the EPUB is ready, save it somewhere you can find from the computer running calibre.

The downloaded file contains the story as it appeared when you created it. If the author adds more chapters, download the story again to make a new EPUB. WP Downloader cannot add chapters to an EPUB you already downloaded.

Add the EPUB to calibre

Calibre is a free e-book manager for Windows, macOS, and Linux. It can store EPUB files, edit their metadata and covers, convert them to other formats, and send books to a connected e-reader.

Open calibre and select Add books, then choose the EPUB from WP Downloader. The story will appear in your calibre library.

You can edit the book’s metadata or cover before converting it. This step is optional and does not change the story.

Convert the EPUB to AZW3

Select the Library of Moria story in calibre and convert it from EPUB to AZW3. AZW3 is a Kindle format that works with direct USB transfers.

WP Downloader does not create AZW3 or MOBI files. It supplies the EPUB, which calibre can convert for your Kindle. Calibre also supports conversions to formats such as MOBI and PDF, but this guide uses AZW3.

Amazon’s Send to Kindle service no longer accepts MOBI files. Kindle e-readers can still open MOBI and AZW3 files copied over USB.

Send the story to your Kindle over USB

Connect the Kindle e-reader to your computer with a USB cable. Select the converted story in calibre and use Send to device.

Calibre copies the book to the connected Kindle without uploading it through Amazon’s Send to Kindle service. After the transfer finishes, you can read the story offline on the device.

The full process is:

1. Copy the Library of Moria story URL.
2. Download the whole story as an EPUB with WP Downloader.
3. Add the EPUB to calibre.
4. Convert it to AZW3.
5. Connect the Kindle over USB.
6. Use Send to device in calibre.

No. WP Downloader creates EPUB files for free and PDF files with a free Discord sign-in. It does not output AZW3, MOBI, or TXT. Use calibre to convert the EPUB to AZW3.

Public stories do not require an account. You can sign in to reach members-only stories that your Library of Moria account is allowed to read.
