Put a Nine Lives Archive story on a Kindle with calibre
You can put a Nine Lives Archive story on a Kindle without using Amazon’s Send to Kindle service. Download the complete story as an EPUB with WP Downloader, then use calibre to convert it to AZW3 and copy it to your Kindle over USB.

Step 1: Copy the Nine Lives Archive story link
Open the story on ninelivesarchive.com or ninelives.dark-solace.org and copy its page address. A story URL looks like this:

Step 2: Download the story as an EPUB

You can edit the book’s metadata or cover before converting it, or leave the downloaded information unchanged. You can also open the EPUB in calibre’s e-book viewer to check it. The viewer has a Read aloud feature if you want to listen on your computer.
Step 4: Convert the EPUB to AZW3
Select the story in your calibre library and start a conversion. Set EPUB as the input format and AZW3 as the output format, then run the conversion.

Kindle e-readers can open AZW3 files copied over USB. They can also open MOBI files transferred by USB, although Amazon’s Send to Kindle service no longer accepts MOBI. For this guide, convert the EPUB to AZW3.
Step 5: Connect the Kindle over USB
Connect your Kindle to the computer with its USB cable. When calibre recognizes it, select the converted story and choose Send to device.
calibre will copy the book directly to the Kindle over the USB connection. Once the transfer finishes, open your Kindle library and find the story. It will be available to read offline with the other books stored on the device.
Downloading updated chapters later
WP Downloader cannot add new chapters to an EPUB you already have. If the author updates the story, download the whole story again. Add the new EPUB to calibre, convert it to AZW3, and transfer the new version to your Kindle.
