How to put a Unicorn Dreams story on a Kindle with calibre
You can put a Unicorn Dreams story on a Kindle without Amazon’s Send to Kindle service. First download the story as an EPUB with WP Downloader. You can then use calibre to convert it to AZW3 and transfer it to your Kindle over USB.
These instructions are for Kindle e-readers connected to a Windows, macOS, or Linux computer.
What you need
Before you begin, make sure you have:
- The link to the Unicorn Dreams story
- A computer with calibre installed
- Your Kindle e-reader
- A USB cable for connecting the Kindle to the computer
Calibre is a free e-book manager for Windows, macOS, and Linux. It can store EPUB files, edit their metadata and covers, convert them to other formats, and send books to a connected e-reader.
Step 1: Download the Unicorn Dreams story
Open the Unicorn Dreams downloader and paste the story link into the box. Unicorn Dreams is also known as Sinful Dreams, and its story links look like this:

Choose EPUB as the output format. EPUB is free for everyone and can be converted to AZW3 in calibre. You can also choose whether to include the story’s images.
If a story is available only to signed-in members, sign in with your Unicorn Dreams account. WP Downloader uses your credentials only to fetch the story you requested. It downloads only content that your account can already read and cannot bypass locked stories, paywalls, or age restrictions.
PDF is also available with a free Discord sign-in, but this guide uses EPUB because calibre can convert it to AZW3.

Step 2: Add the EPUB to calibre
Open calibre and select Add books. Find the EPUB you downloaded and add it to your calibre library.
The story will appear with your other books. You can edit its metadata or cover before transferring it to the Kindle.
To check the story before converting it, open the EPUB in calibre’s e-book viewer. The viewer also has a Read aloud feature for listening on your computer.
Step 3: Convert the EPUB to AZW3
Select the story in calibre and open the book conversion options. Set EPUB as the input format and AZW3 as the output format, then start the conversion.
WP Downloader does not create AZW3 or MOBI files. It downloads the EPUB, and calibre converts that file to a Kindle format.
AZW3 works with this USB method because Kindle e-readers can open AZW3 files copied directly to the device. They can also open MOBI files transferred over USB. Amazon’s Send to Kindle service no longer accepts MOBI files.
Step 4: Connect your Kindle over USB
Connect the Kindle to your computer with its USB cable. When calibre recognizes the device, select the converted story in your library.
Choose Send to device. Calibre will copy the book to the Kindle over USB.
Once the transfer is complete, disconnect the Kindle and open the story from its library. You can read it on the e-reader without sending the file through Amazon’s Send to Kindle service.
When to use Send to Kindle instead
Use calibre and USB when you want to convert an EPUB to AZW3 and copy it directly from your computer to a Kindle e-reader.

Does WP Downloader create AZW3 or MOBI files?
No. WP Downloader creates EPUB files for everyone and PDF files with a free Discord sign-in. Use calibre to convert the downloaded EPUB to AZW3, MOBI, or another supported format.
Can I copy a MOBI file to my Kindle over USB?
Yes. Kindle e-readers still open MOBI and AZW3 files copied over USB. Only Amazon’s Send to Kindle service stopped accepting MOBI files.
Can I download members-only Unicorn Dreams stories?
You can sign in with your Unicorn Dreams account to download members-only stories that your account is allowed to read. WP Downloader cannot unlock content that is unavailable to your account.
How do I add new chapters later?
Download the complete story again, convert the new EPUB in calibre, and transfer it to the Kindle. WP Downloader does not update an existing EPUB with newly published chapters.
