Read Chaos (Sycophant Hex) Stories on a NOOK

To read a Chaos story on a Barnes & Noble NOOK, download it as an EPUB with WP Downloader and copy the file to your NOOK over USB. WP Downloader is free to use, and there is nothing to install.

What you need

Have the following ready:

• A story link from chaos.sycophanthex.com
• A computer with a web browser
• A USB cable
• Your Barnes & Noble NOOK

Step 1: Download the Chaos story as an EPUB

Open the Chaos story downloader in your browser. You can also paste the link into the box on the WP Downloader home page, which detects the site automatically.

1. Copy the Chaos story URL from your browser.
2. Paste it into WP Downloader.
3. Select EPUB as the output format.
4. Choose whether to include the story’s images.
5. Start the download and save the EPUB to your computer.

EPUB downloads are free for everyone. WP Downloader can also create a PDF after you sign in with Discord for free, but it does not create MOBI, AZW3, or TXT files.

Step 2: Connect your NOOK to the computer

Connect your NOOK GlowLight to your computer with a USB cable.

On newer models, change the USB setting so the computer can access the NOOK:

1. Swipe down from the top of the NOOK screen.
2. Tap “USB for charging.”
3. Select “Transfer files (MTP).”

The NOOK should appear on your computer as a drive named “NOOK.”

If the device only charges, check the USB setting and make sure “Transfer files (MTP)” is selected.

Step 3: Copy the EPUB to your NOOK

Open the NOOK drive on your computer. Find the EPUB you downloaded from WP Downloader and drag it onto the drive.

Barnes & Noble calls copying your own files to a NOOK “sideloading.” Wait for the EPUB to finish copying before continuing.

Step 4: Eject the NOOK

Eject the NOOK from your computer before unplugging the USB cable. Once it has been ejected, disconnect it and open the transferred story on your NOOK.

Downloading new chapters later

WP Downloader cannot add new chapters to an EPUB you already have. When the author updates the story, return to the Chaos downloader, paste the same story link, and download it again.

Copy the new EPUB to your NOOK using the same USB steps.
