Upload from a computer

Upload the downloaded file through the Google Play Books website.

1. Open Google Play Books in your computer’s browser.
2. Sign in with the Google account you use for Play Books.
3. Choose the file upload option.
4. Select the EPUB or PDF from your computer or Google Drive.

After Google Play Books processes the file, you can open the story and read it in your library.

If you read on an iPhone or iPad, upload the file on the website first. Then open the Google Play Books app on your device.

Upload from Android

You can also upload an EPUB or PDF through the Google Play Books Android app. Download the story with WP Downloader, find the saved file in your recent downloads, and upload it to Play Books.

The location of downloaded files varies by device and browser. Once the file has been added, open it in the app.

Read on iPhone or iPad

On an iPhone or iPad, upload the story through the Google Play Books website. Use the same Google account on the website and in the app to find the uploaded story.

Choose EPUB or PDF

Google Play Books accepts DRM-free EPUB and PDF files. EPUB is available to everyone through WP Downloader, while PDF requires a free Discord sign-in.

Choose whether to include the story’s images before downloading. If new chapters are published later, download the whole story again and upload the new file. WP Downloader cannot add chapters to an EPUB you already downloaded.

Very large files may reach Google’s upload size limit.
