How to Read FanficAuthors Stories in the Kindle App

To read a FanficAuthors story in the Kindle app, download it as an EPUB with WP Downloader and send the file to your Kindle library. WP Downloader is a free web tool, so you do not need to install anything.

Step 1: Copy the FanficAuthors story link

Open the story on its FanficAuthors site. FanficAuthors sites use subdomains of fanficauthors.net, and their story links look like this:

Choose EPUB for the output. EPUB downloads are free for everyone, and Amazon’s Send to Kindle service accepts this format. You can also choose to include the story’s images.

WP Downloader can make a PDF, but PDF downloads require a free Discord sign-in. For the Kindle app, EPUB is the simpler choice.

Download the story again if the author adds more chapters. WP Downloader cannot update an EPUB you already downloaded.

Step 3: Send the EPUB to your Kindle library

Amazon’s Send to Kindle service accepts EPUB files and converts them for the Kindle app and Kindle e-readers. Send to Kindle no longer accepts MOBI files, and WP Downloader does not create MOBI or AZW3 files.

You can send the EPUB in three ways:

• Upload it through Send to Kindle on the web.
• Use the Send to Kindle app.
• Email it to your Kindle’s Send-to-Kindle address.

Files sent by email must come from an approved sender email address.

Step 4: Open the story in the Kindle app

Once Amazon has converted the EPUB, the story appears in your Kindle library. Open the Kindle app on your phone or tablet, find the story in your library, and select it to start reading.
