How to Read FanFiktion.de Stories on a Barnes & Noble NOOK

To read a FanFiktion.de story on a Barnes & Noble NOOK, download it as an EPUB with WP Downloader and copy the file to your NOOK over USB. Barnes & Noble calls this “sideloading.”

Download the story as an EPUB

WP Downloader is a free web tool, so there is nothing to install. Open the FanFiktion.de downloader and copy the link to the story you want. A FanFiktion.de story URL looks like this:

Stories that require a FanFiktion.de account

You do not need an account for public stories. If a story is available only to FanFiktion.de members, you can sign in with your account so WP Downloader can fetch stories that account is allowed to read.

WP Downloader uses your account credentials only to fetch the story you requested. It cannot bypass paywalls, locked chapters, or age restrictions, and it cannot download anything your account cannot already access.

Copy the EPUB to your NOOK

After downloading the EPUB to your computer, connect your NOOK GlowLight with a USB cable. It will appear as a drive named “NOOK.”

On newer NOOK models, enable file transfers after connecting the cable:

1. Swipe down from the top of the NOOK screen.
2. Tap “USB for charging.”
3. Choose “Transfer files (MTP).”

Your computer can now access the NOOK.

Find the EPUB you downloaded from WP Downloader. Open the NOOK drive and drag the file onto it. Wait for the transfer to finish, then eject the NOOK from your computer before unplugging the USB cable.

The story is now available on your NOOK for offline reading.

Add new chapters to your NOOK

WP Downloader creates an EPUB from the complete story at the time you download it. It cannot add later chapters to the copy already stored on your NOOK.

When the story is updated:

1. Paste its FanFiktion.de link into WP Downloader again.
2. Download a new EPUB.
3. Connect your NOOK over USB.
4. Copy the new file to the device.
5. Eject the NOOK before disconnecting it.
