Read FicWad Stories in KOReader
To read a FicWad story in KOReader, download the complete story as an EPUB with WP Downloader. Then copy the file to your device and open it from KOReader’s file browser. The story remains available when you are offline.
What you need

- The FicWad story link
- WP Downloader, a free web tool with nothing to install
- A device running KOReader
- A way to copy the file to that device
KOReader is a free, open-source document reader for Kobo, PocketBook, and Android devices. It also runs on jailbroken Kindles. Installation on Kobo and Kindle is a separate, unofficial process, so this guide assumes you already have KOReader installed.
Download the FicWad story
Open the FicWad downloader and paste the story link into the box. FicWad story URLs look like this:
https://ficwad.com/story/1234WP Downloader detects that the link is from FicWad and downloads the whole story. It cannot download a single chapter or a list of stories from FicWad.
Choose a format:
- EPUB is free for everyone and works with KOReader.
- PDF also works with KOReader, but creating one requires a free Discord sign-in.
You can choose whether to include the story’s images. Start the download and save the file somewhere easy to find, such as your downloads folder.

Members-only FicWad stories
Public stories do not require an account. For members-only stories, you can sign in with your FicWad account through WP Downloader.
Your credentials are used only to fetch the story you requested. WP Downloader can download only the content your account is allowed to read. It does not bypass paywalls, locked chapters, age restrictions, or other access limits.
Copy the EPUB to your device
Transfer the downloaded EPUB to the device where you use KOReader.
Kobo or PocketBook
Connect the device to your computer with USB and copy the EPUB into a folder you can find from KOReader. Disconnect the device normally after the transfer finishes.

Android phone or tablet
Copy the EPUB to a folder on your Android device. A story downloaded directly to the device may already be in its downloads folder. If the file is on a computer, use your usual Android file transfer method.
Jailbroken Kindle
KOReader works only on Kindles that have been jailbroken and set up to run it. Once it is available, connect the Kindle to your computer with USB and copy the EPUB to the device.

Open the story in KOReader
Open KOReader and find the EPUB or PDF in its file browser. Select the file to start reading.
The story is stored on your device, so you can read it without loading FicWad in a browser. If the author adds more chapters, use WP Downloader to download the story again. It cannot add new chapters to an existing EPUB, so each updated download creates a new file.
