How to Read FicWad Stories on Android
To read a FicWad story on an Android phone or tablet, download it as an EPUB or PDF with WP Downloader and open the file in a compatible reading app. EPUB usually works best on a phone screen and is free for everyone.

Choose between EPUB and PDF
Android can open both formats, but they work differently.
EPUB
EPUB files are made for ebooks. A compatible reading app adjusts the text to fit your screen, which is useful on phones and tablets. Choose EPUB if you want to use the text-to-speech mode in Moon+ Reader or listen through @Voice Aloud Reader.
PDF files keep a fixed page layout. Choose PDF if you want each page to retain the same appearance, though fixed pages can be harder to read on a small screen. Creating a PDF with WP Downloader requires a free Discord sign-in.
WP Downloader does not create MOBI, AZW3, or TXT files.
Read the story in Google Play Books
Google Play Books accepts your own DRM-free EPUB and PDF files. Once you upload a story, you can read it on Android, on the Play Books website, or on an iPhone or iPad.
On Android:
- Download the FicWad story from WP Downloader as an EPUB or PDF.
- Open the Google Play Books app.
- Upload the downloaded file.
- Open the book and start reading.
You can also upload the file from the Play Books website using your computer or Google Drive. Once the book is in your library, open Google Play Books on your Android device to read it.
Very large stories may reach Google’s upload size limit. If that happens, open the EPUB in another Android reading app.
Read an EPUB in Moon+ Reader
Moon+ Reader opens EPUB files on Android. Download the FicWad story as an EPUB, then open the saved file in Moon+ Reader.
The app also has a built-in text-to-speech mode, so it can read the story aloud without converting it to a separate audio file.
Listen with Android accessibility tools
Android’s Select to Speak feature reads items on the screen. Turn it on under Settings, then Accessibility. Once it is enabled, tap the text or other items you want your device to read.
You can also use @Voice Aloud Reader to read an EPUB aloud. Moon+ Reader has its own text-to-speech mode.
All of these options use the text-to-speech voices installed on your device. How natural the reading sounds depends on those voices.
FicWad accounts and access
FicWad stories are in English. Signing in to FicWad is optional. If you do sign in, WP Downloader can fetch members-only stories that your account can already read.
Your credentials are used only to fetch the story you requested. WP Downloader cannot bypass account restrictions, paywalls, locked chapters, or age restrictions.
WP Downloader’s support for FicWad and other fiction archives was ported from FanFicFare, the open-source fanfiction downloader licensed under Apache-2.0.
