Read a NovelFull Story in KOReader
To read a NovelFull story in KOReader, download the complete story as an EPUB with WP Downloader, copy the file to your device, and open it in KOReader’s file browser. You can then read it offline without returning to novelfull.com.
What you need
KOReader is a free, open-source document reader for Kobo, PocketBook, and Android devices. It also runs on jailbroken Kindles. It opens EPUB and PDF files.
You will need:
- A NovelFull story URL
- Access to WP Downloader’s NovelFull downloader
- A device running KOReader
- A USB cable or Android file-transfer method
A NovelFull story URL looks like this:
https://novelfull.com/a-story-name.html You do not need to sign in to NovelFull. WP Downloader downloads whole stories from this site, not individual chapters or lists.
Step 1: Download the NovelFull story
Open the NovelFull downloader and paste the story URL into the box. WP Downloader will detect the site and prepare the story for download.
Choose EPUB as the output format. EPUB is free for everyone and works in KOReader. You can also include the story’s images.
WP Downloader can create a PDF too, but that option requires a free Discord sign-in. It does not create MOBI, AZW3, or TXT files.
WP Downloader only downloads content you can already read. It does not bypass paywalls, locked chapters, or age restrictions. Its support for NovelFull and 86 other fiction archives was ported from FanFicFare, the open-source fanfiction downloader licensed under Apache-2.0.
For more help with the download, see how to download NovelFull stories.
Step 2: Find the downloaded EPUB
When the download finishes, find the EPUB in your browser’s downloads folder. On a phone, you can use the device’s file manager. On a computer, check the folder where your browser saves downloads.
Leave the EPUB file as it is. You do not need to unzip or convert it before moving it to your device.
Step 3: Copy the EPUB to your device
The transfer method depends on your device.
Kobo or PocketBook
Connect the ereader to your computer with a USB cable. When it appears as storage, copy the EPUB to the device as you would any other book. You can place it in the folder where you keep your other books.
Safely eject the device after the copy finishes.
Installing KOReader on a Kobo is a separate, unofficial process. This guide assumes it is already installed. You can also read the guide to reading NovelFull stories on Kobo.
Android
Use your usual Android file-transfer method to move the EPUB into a folder that KOReader can access. If you downloaded the story on the Android device, the file may already be in the Downloads folder.
Kindle
KOReader runs only on jailbroken Kindles, and installing it is a separate, unofficial process.
If KOReader is already installed on your Kindle, copy the EPUB to the device over USB. For a standard Kindle setup, follow the guide to sending NovelFull stories to Kindle.
Step 4: Open the story in KOReader
Open KOReader and use its file browser to find the folder containing the EPUB. Select the file to start reading.
The book is stored on your device, so you can keep reading offline without opening NovelFull in a browser.
Getting new chapters later
WP Downloader cannot add new chapters to an EPUB you have already downloaded. When the NovelFull story gets new chapters, return to the downloader, paste the story link again, and download a new copy of the whole story.
Copy the new EPUB to your device and open it in KOReader.
