Read Occlumency Stories Offline on a Flight

Download the Occlumency story before your flight. Once the EPUB or PDF is saved on your device, you can open it without Wi-Fi or mobile data.

Download the story before you leave

WP Downloader is a free web tool and does not require an installation. Use it while you still have an internet connection:

1. Open the Occlumency downloader.
2. Copy the Occlumency story URL from your browser. It should look like this:

3. Paste the link into WP Downloader.
4. Choose EPUB or PDF. EPUB is free for everyone, while PDF requires a free Discord sign-in.
5. Choose whether to include the story’s images.
6. Download the finished file to the device you are taking on the flight.

WP Downloader downloads the entire Occlumency story. It cannot download a single chapter or a story list.

You do not need to sign in to download a public story. For a members-only story, you can sign in with your account on Occlumency. WP Downloader can only access content that your account is already allowed to read and does not bypass access restrictions.

Choose between EPUB and PDF

EPUB is usually convenient for phones, tablets, Kindle devices, and Kobo readers. You can open it in an EPUB reader or import it into the reading service you use.

Choose PDF if you prefer a PDF reader. Once downloaded, the file can be opened on a phone, tablet, or laptop. Save the PDF on the device itself instead of relying on an online link.

WP Downloader does not create MOBI, AZW3, or TXT files. Kindle users can send an EPUB through Amazon’s Send to Kindle service. Send to Kindle no longer accepts MOBI files.

Prepare your device

Phone or tablet

Download the EPUB or PDF directly to the phone or tablet you plan to carry. Before leaving, open it in an EPUB or PDF reader and check that the story loads from the local file.

Kindle e-reader or Kindle app

Download the EPUB or PDF with WP Downloader, then deliver it through Amazon’s Send to Kindle service. You can use your Kindle’s Send-to-Kindle email address, the Send to Kindle app, or the web service.

Amazon converts the EPUB and adds the book to your Kindle library. It can then appear on Kindle e-readers and in the Kindle app. Delivery needs an internet connection, so send the file before your flight and wait for it to appear on the device you are taking.

Kobo

Download the EPUB or PDF and transfer it to your Kobo before you travel. Open the book once on the device to check that it is ready. The Occlumency on Kobo guide has the device-specific steps.

Laptop

Save the EPUB or PDF on the laptop and open it with a compatible reading app. If you usually keep files in an online service, check that the story is also stored locally.

Check the story in airplane mode

Test the file before you leave:

1. Finish downloading or delivering the story.
2. Open it in your reading app.
3. Turn on airplane mode.
4. Close and reopen the story.
5. Move through several chapters to check that they are available.

If the story does not open, turn off airplane mode while you still have internet access and download or transfer it again.

WP Downloader cannot add new chapters to an existing EPUB. When the story is updated, download the whole story again to get the latest version.

Can I read an Occlumency story without Wi-Fi?

Yes. Download the story as an EPUB or PDF before the flight and save it on your device. The file will open without an internet connection.

Which format should I choose?
