Moon+ Reader is another Android app that opens EPUB files. After downloading the story, find the file on your device and choose Moon+ Reader when Android asks which app to use.

If EPUB files already open in a different reader, you can open or import the story there instead. WP Downloader creates the EPUB file, and the reader app displays it on your phone or tablet.

Listen with Android text to speech

Android’s Select to Speak feature can read items on the screen aloud. To turn it on, open Settings, then Accessibility.

You can also use an EPUB app with a read-aloud option:

• Moon+ Reader has a built-in text-to-speech mode.
• @Voice Aloud Reader reads EPUB files aloud.

Both use the text-to-speech voices installed on your device, so the narration depends on the voices available in your Android settings.

Keep the story available offline

Download the EPUB and make sure it is available in your reading app before you lose your internet connection.

WP Downloader cannot update an existing EPUB when a Phoenixsong.net story gets new chapters. To get the newer version, return to the Phoenixsong downloader, paste the story link again, and download another copy.
