Read a Questionable Questing Story in KOReader

WP Downloader can save a Questionable Questing story as an EPUB that you can copy to your device and open in KOReader. It is a free web tool, so you do not need to install anything.

What you need

You will need:

• A link to a Questionable Questing story
• WP Downloader’s Questionable Questing downloader
• A device running KOReader
• A way to copy the EPUB to that device

KOReader is a free, open-source document reader for Kobo, PocketBook and Android devices. It also runs on jailbroken Kindles and can open EPUB and PDF files.

Installing KOReader on a Kobo or Kindle is a separate, unofficial process. This guide assumes you already have it installed.

Step 1: Copy the story link

Open the story on forum.questionablequesting.com or questionablequesting.com and copy the thread URL. It usually looks like this:

Use the address of the story thread, not an individual post.

Questionable Questing stories are English-language forum threads. WP Downloader collects the threadmarked chapters into one ebook. It downloads the whole story and does not support individual chapters or story lists on this site.

Step 2: Download the story with WP Downloader

Open the Questionable Questing Downloader and paste the story link into the box. WP Downloader detects the site and prepares the threadmarked chapters as one book.

Choose EPUB to open the book directly in KOReader. EPUB is free for everyone. PDF is also available, but it requires a free Discord sign-in.

Select the option to include the story’s images if you want them in the downloaded book.

You do not need a Questionable Questing account for public stories. You can sign in to reach members-only stories that your account is allowed to read. WP Downloader uses your credentials only to fetch the story you requested.

WP Downloader only downloads content that your account can already open. It does not bypass age restrictions, locked content or other access controls.

Step 3: Copy the EPUB to your device

Find the EPUB in your downloads folder after the download finishes.

For a Kobo, PocketBook or jailbroken Kindle, connect the reader to your computer with USB and copy the EPUB to the device. Choose a folder that you can find from KOReader’s file browser.

On Android, use your usual Android file-transfer method. If you downloaded the story on the Android device, the EPUB may already be in its downloads folder.

KOReader opens EPUB files directly, so you do not need to convert the book to MOBI or AZW3. WP Downloader does not create MOBI, AZW3 or TXT files.

Step 4: Open the story in KOReader

Start KOReader and use its file browser to find the downloaded EPUB. Select the file to open it.

The book contains the story’s threadmarked chapters and remains available when you are offline.

Getting newly posted chapters

WP Downloader cannot add chapters to an EPUB you have already downloaded. When the author posts more threadmarked chapters, paste the story link into WP Downloader again and download a new copy.

Copy the new EPUB to your device, then open that version in KOReader.
