How to read a Quotev story on a PocketBook e-reader
To read a Quotev story on a PocketBook e-reader, download the whole story as an EPUB with WP Downloader and transfer the file using Send-to-PocketBook or USB. PocketBook e-readers can open EPUB files directly.
Download the Quotev story
WP Downloader is a free web tool that runs in your browser. You do not need to install anything or sign in to Quotev.
Find the story on quotev.com. Its URL should look like this:
https://www.quotev.com/story/1234Copy the URL for the complete story. WP Downloader handles whole Quotev stories, so it cannot download a single chapter or a list.
Open the Quotev downloader, paste the story link into the box, and choose EPUB as the output format. EPUB is free for everyone and works with PocketBook e-readers. You can also include the story’s images.
Save the finished EPUB somewhere easy to find, such as the downloads folder on your phone or computer.
PDF is also available and works on PocketBook, but downloading one requires a free Discord sign-in. EPUB does not require that sign-in. For more help with the download, follow the guide to downloading a Quotev story.
Send the EPUB with Send-to-PocketBook
Send-to-PocketBook lets you email the EPUB to your reader. Before using it, activate the service on the PocketBook:
- Open Settings.
- Select Accounts and synchronization.
- Choose Send-to-PocketBook.
- Sign in and follow the activation steps.
- Open the activation email.
Once activated, the service gives you a personal email address ending in @pbsync.com.
Attach the Quotev EPUB to an email and send it to that address. Sync your PocketBook to receive the file, then open the EPUB on the reader.
If the book does not appear, make sure the email address you sent it from is on the approved list. Send-to-PocketBook may ask you to whitelist the sending address. Approve it, send the EPUB again, and sync the reader.
Copy the story over USB
You can transfer the EPUB directly from a computer with USB. Connect the PocketBook to the computer, copy the downloaded EPUB onto the reader, and wait for the transfer to finish. Disconnect the device, then open the book on your PocketBook.
Send-to-PocketBook and USB both transfer the same EPUB file. Use Send-to-PocketBook to email it or USB to copy it from a computer.
Get new chapters later
WP Downloader does not add new chapters to an EPUB you have already downloaded.
When the Quotev story is updated, paste its link into WP Downloader again and download a new copy. Transfer the new EPUB to your PocketBook using Send-to-PocketBook or USB.
WP Downloader can only download material available to you. It does not bypass paywalls, locked chapters, or age restrictions.
