How to Read a Royal Road Story on a tolino eReader
You can read a Royal Road story on your tolino by downloading it as an EPUB with WP Downloader, then copying the file to the Books folder on your eReader. The EPUB contains the whole fiction in one file, ready to read offline.
What you need
Have these ready:
- The Royal Road fiction page you want to download
- A computer
- Your tolino eReader
- A USB-C cable

Download the Royal Road story as an EPUB
Go to the Royal Road Downloader.
1. Copy the fiction URL
Open the fiction on royalroad.com and copy its address. A Royal Road fiction URL looks like this:
https://www.royalroad.com/fiction/123452. Paste the link into WP Downloader
Paste the address into the box on the downloader page. WP Downloader detects that the link is from Royal Road and prepares the fiction for download.
You do not need a Royal Road account.
3. Choose EPUB
Select EPUB as the output format. EPUB is free for everyone and works with tolino eReaders.
WP Downloader can also make a PDF after a free Discord sign-in. It does not create MOBI, AZW3, or TXT files. For a tolino, choose EPUB.
Enable the image option before downloading if you want to include the story’s images.
4. Save the EPUB

Transfer the EPUB to your tolino
Once the EPUB is on your computer, copy it to the tolino over USB.
1. Connect the tolino
Connect your tolino to the computer with its USB-C cable. Wait for the computer to detect the reader.
The tolino vision 6, shine 4, and epos 3 use MTP for USB transfers.
2. Open the Books folder
Open the tolino’s storage on your computer and find the Books folder. This is where the EPUB goes.
3. Copy the EPUB
Find the EPUB you downloaded from WP Downloader and copy it into the Books folder.
Wait for the copy to finish before unplugging the USB-C cable.
4. Disconnect and read
Disconnect the tolino after the transfer finishes. The Royal Road fiction will appear as one book containing all its chapters, and you can read it offline.
Get new chapters later
WP Downloader cannot add new chapters to an EPUB you already have. When the author publishes more chapters, return to the Royal Road Downloader and download the fiction again.
The new EPUB will contain every chapter available at that time. Copy it to the Books folder using the same USB-C steps.
