How to Read SquidgeWorld Stories on a Kobo
To read a SquidgeWorld Archive story on a Kobo, download it as an EPUB with WP Downloader and copy the file to your e-reader. Kobo opens EPUB files without conversion.
Download the SquidgeWorld story as an EPUB
WP Downloader is a free web tool with nothing to install. Open the SquidgeWorld Archive downloader, then find the story you want on squidgeworld.org.
Its link will look like this:
https://squidgeworld.org/works/123456 Copy the story URL from your browser and paste it into WP Downloader. Choose EPUB as the output format. EPUB downloads are free for everyone.
You can include the story’s images in the EPUB. For SquidgeWorld Archive, WP Downloader downloads the entire story, not individual chapters or lists.
You do not need to sign in for public stories. If a story is limited to members, signing in with your SquidgeWorld Archive account allows WP Downloader to download it when your account already has access. The tool does not bypass age restrictions or other access controls.
See how to download SquidgeWorld stories for more help with downloading the file.
Add the EPUB to your Kobo with a USB cable
You can copy the downloaded EPUB from your computer to your Kobo over USB.
- Download the SquidgeWorld Archive story as an EPUB and find the saved file.
- Connect your Kobo e-reader to the computer with a USB cable.
- Wait for the Kobo to appear as a drive.
- Copy the EPUB onto the Kobo drive.
- Eject the Kobo before disconnecting the cable.
- Open the Kobo library. The story will appear there as a book.
You can now open the story from your library and read it without visiting the SquidgeWorld Archive website.
Add the story through Dropbox
Dropbox can transfer non-protected EPUB and PDF files to these Kobo models when they have software version 4.18 or later:
- Kobo Forma
- Kobo Sage
- Kobo Elipsa
- Kobo Elipsa 2E
- Kobo Libra Colour
Link your Dropbox account from the e-reader, put the EPUB in the Kobo cloud folder, and sync the device. The book will appear on that Kobo.
A book added through Dropbox appears only on the device where you added it.
Add the story through Google Drive
Google Drive requires Kobo software version 4.37 or later and works with the same models:
- Kobo Forma
- Kobo Sage
- Kobo Elipsa
- Kobo Elipsa 2E
- Kobo Libra Colour
From the Kobo Home screen, open More, select My Google Drive, and choose Get Started. The Kobo will show a code. Enter it on the Kobo website to link your Google Drive account.
Put the EPUB in the cloud folder and sync the e-reader. The story will appear only on that Kobo.
Get updated chapters onto your Kobo
WP Downloader cannot update an EPUB that is already on your Kobo. If the author publishes more chapters, download the whole story again to create a new EPUB.
Transfer the new file by USB, Dropbox, or Google Drive. Check which copy you open if both the old and new files remain on the device.

Choose EPUB. Kobo e-readers open EPUB files without conversion. WP Downloader also provides PDF after a free Discord sign-in, but EPUB works directly with Kobo.
Can I download one SquidgeWorld chapter for my Kobo?
No. WP Downloader downloads complete SquidgeWorld Archive stories. It does not download individual chapters or lists from this site.
Do I need a SquidgeWorld Archive account?
You do not need an account for public stories. Signing in is optional and lets WP Downloader reach members-only stories that your SquidgeWorld Archive account can already read.
Can every Kobo receive EPUB files through Dropbox or Google Drive?
No. Cloud import works only on Kobo Forma, Kobo Sage, Kobo Elipsa, Kobo Elipsa 2E, and Kobo Libra Colour. Dropbox requires software version 4.18 or later. Google Drive requires version 4.37 or later. For other Kobo models, copy the EPUB by USB.
