How to Read Stories from The Sietch in KOReader

Download the story with WP Downloader
Stories on the-sietch.com are published as forum threads. Their links usually follow this pattern:
https://www.the-sietch.com/index.php?threads/some-story-name.123456/WP Downloader collects the threadmarked chapters and puts them into one book. It downloads whole stories from The Sietch, not individual chapters or lists.
To download a story:
- Open the The Sietch downloader.
- Copy the URL of the story thread from the-sietch.com.
- Paste the URL into the box.
- Choose EPUB as the output format.
- Choose whether to include the story’s images.
- Download the EPUB.
You can also paste the link into the box on the WP Downloader home page. The tool will recognize that it comes from The Sietch.
EPUB downloads are free for everyone, and KOReader can open them directly. WP Downloader can also create a PDF, but that requires a free Discord sign-in. KOReader opens PDF files as well. WP Downloader does not create MOBI, AZW3, or TXT files.
Sign in only when the story requires it
You do not need a The Sietch account to download a public story. For a members-only story, you can sign in with an account that already has access.
WP Downloader uses your account credentials only to fetch the story you requested. It cannot bypass members-only access, paywalls, locked chapters, or age restrictions.

Copy the EPUB to your device
After downloading the EPUB, move it to the device where you use KOReader.
Kobo or PocketBook
Connect the ereader to your computer with USB and copy the EPUB to the device as usual. Once the transfer is complete, disconnect the device and open KOReader.

Android phone or tablet
Copy the EPUB to your Android device using your usual file-transfer method. Save it somewhere you can find from KOReader’s file browser.
Kindle
KOReader runs only on Kindles that have been jailbroken. Installing it is a separate, unofficial process.

Open the story in KOReader
Open KOReader and use its file browser to find the EPUB. Select the file to start reading.
The book contains the threadmarked chapters that WP Downloader found in the original forum thread. Since they are collected in one EPUB, you can read them offline without returning to each thread page.
You can follow the same steps with a PDF. Copy it to the device, find it in KOReader’s file browser, and open it. For a standard ebook copy, choose EPUB when downloading the story.
Download newly posted chapters
WP Downloader cannot update an EPUB that is already on your device. If the author posts more threadmarked chapters, download the whole story again.
Copy the new EPUB to your device and open it in KOReader. The file will contain the chapters available when you downloaded it.
