How to read The Sietch stories in the Kindle app
To read a story from The Sietch in the Kindle app, download it as an EPUB with WP Downloader and send the file to your Kindle library.
Download the story with WP Downloader
Stories on the-sietch.com are published as forum threads. WP Downloader collects a thread’s threadmarked chapters and combines them into one book.
Copy the URL of the story you want to read. A The Sietch story link looks like this:

- Open The Sietch Downloader.
- Paste the story URL into the box.
- Choose EPUB as the output format.
- Choose whether to include the story’s images.
- Download the EPUB.
WP Downloader is a free web tool, and there is nothing to install. EPUB downloads are free for everyone. You can also create a PDF after signing in with a free Discord account.
Use EPUB for Kindle because Amazon’s Send to Kindle service accepts EPUB files and converts them for your Kindle library. Send to Kindle no longer accepts MOBI files, and WP Downloader does not create MOBI, AZW3, or TXT files.
Support for The Sietch was ported from FanFicFare, the open-source fanfiction downloader licensed under Apache 2.0.
Sign in for members-only stories
You do not need a The Sietch account to download public stories. For a members-only story, you can sign in with your account on that site. WP Downloader can then fetch the content your account is allowed to read.
Your credentials are used only to fetch the story you requested. WP Downloader does not bypass members-only access, paywalls, locked chapters, or age restrictions.
Downloads from The Sietch always contain the whole story. You cannot download a single chapter or a list of stories from this site.
Send the EPUB to your Kindle library
After downloading the EPUB, send it to Amazon in one of three ways:
- Upload it through Send to Kindle on the web.
- Select it in the Send to Kindle app.
- Email it to your Kindle’s Send-to-Kindle address.
Files sent by email must come from an approved sender address. Amazon converts the EPUB and adds the book to your Kindle library, where it appears on Kindle e-readers and in the Kindle app.

Open the story in the Kindle app
Once Amazon has converted the file, open the Kindle app and go to your library. Find the story, then select its cover or title to open it.
The threadmarked chapters are combined in a single book, so you can read them without moving between separate forum pages.
Download newer chapters
WP Downloader cannot add new chapters to an EPUB you already have. If the author publishes more threadmarked chapters, return to The Sietch Downloader, paste the story link again, and download a new EPUB. Send the new file to Kindle in the same way.
