How to read The Sietch stories on Android
You can read a The Sietch story on an Android phone or tablet by downloading it as an EPUB or PDF with WP Downloader. Once the file is on your device, open it in a compatible reading app to read offline.
Download the story with WP Downloader
Stories on The Sietch are forum threads. WP Downloader collects a thread’s threadmarked chapters and puts them together in one book.
Open the story on the-sietch.com and copy its URL. A story link looks like this:

- Paste the story URL into the box.
- Choose whether to include the story’s images.
- Download the book as an EPUB or PDF.
EPUB downloads are free for everyone. PDF downloads require a free Discord sign-in. WP Downloader does not create MOBI, AZW3, or TXT files.
WP Downloader downloads the whole story from The Sietch. It cannot download a single chapter or a list of stories. When the author adds more threadmarked chapters, download the story again to get an updated copy. WP Downloader cannot add chapters to an EPUB you already downloaded.

Do you need to sign in?
Public stories do not require an account. You can optionally sign in with your The Sietch account to download members-only stories that the account can already read.
WP Downloader uses your credentials only to fetch the story you requested. It cannot bypass account restrictions, paywalls, locked chapters, or age restrictions.
Open the EPUB on Android
After downloading the EPUB, open it in an Android app that supports EPUB files. Google Play Books and Moon+ Reader are two options.
Use Google Play Books
Google Play Books lets you upload DRM-free EPUB and PDF files and read them on Android, iPhone, iPad, or the web.
You can upload the book through the Google Play Books website from your computer or Google Drive. You can also upload it from the Google Play Books app on your Android device. Once it has uploaded, open the book in the app.
Very large books may reach Google’s upload size limit. If that happens, open the EPUB directly in another compatible reader.
Use Moon+ Reader
Moon+ Reader opens EPUB files directly on Android. Find the EPUB in your downloads and open it with Moon+ Reader.
The app also has a built-in text-to-speech mode for reading the story aloud.
Open the PDF on Android
If you downloaded a PDF, find it in your device’s downloads and open it with an app that supports PDF files. You can also upload the DRM-free PDF to Google Play Books.
Both formats contain the story’s collected threadmarked chapters.
Listen to the story on Android
Android includes Select to Speak. Turn it on under Settings, then Accessibility. You can then tap items on the screen to hear them read aloud.
For EPUB files, you can use Moon+ Reader’s built-in text-to-speech mode or open the book in @Voice Aloud Reader. Both use the text-to-speech voices installed on your device, so the narration depends on the voices available.
Get newly published chapters
The downloaded book contains the threadmarked chapters that were available when you created it. It does not update when the author posts another chapter.
To get the latest chapters, return to WP Downloader, paste the same story URL, and download the whole story again. You can replace the older copy on your Android device if you no longer need it.
