How to Send a Walking the Plank Story to Kindle
To send a Walking the Plank story to your Kindle, download it as an EPUB with WP Downloader and upload the file through Amazon’s Send to Kindle service. Amazon converts the EPUB and adds the book to your Kindle library so you can read it on a Kindle e-reader or in the Kindle app.
Step 1: Copy the Walking the Plank story link
Open the story on walkingtheplank.org and copy its URL from your browser’s address bar. A story link looks like this:
http://www.walkingtheplank.org/archive/viewstory.php?sid=1234 Copy the link to the main story page, not an individual chapter. WP Downloader downloads the whole story from Walking the Plank. It does not download single chapters or story lists from this archive.
You do not need to sign in to Walking the Plank.
Step 2: Download the story as an EPUB
Open the Walking the Plank downloader and paste the story link into the box. WP Downloader detects the site and prepares the story for download.
Select EPUB as the output format. EPUB downloads are free for everyone, and Amazon’s Send to Kindle service accepts the format. You can also include the story’s images in the downloaded book.
WP Downloader is a web tool, so you do not need to install anything. Its support for Walking the Plank was ported from FanFicFare, the open-source fanfiction downloader.
PDF downloads are also available with a free Discord sign-in. This guide uses EPUB because you can send it directly through Send to Kindle. WPD does not create MOBI or AZW3 files, and Send to Kindle no longer accepts MOBI.
See how to download Walking the Plank stories for more help with downloading the file.
Step 3: Send the EPUB to Kindle
Once the EPUB is saved on your phone or computer, send it to Amazon using the web, the Send to Kindle app, or email.
Use Send to Kindle on the web
Open Amazon’s Send to Kindle web page, choose the EPUB you downloaded, and submit it. Amazon converts the file and adds the book to your Kindle library.
Use the Send to Kindle app
If you have Amazon’s Send to Kindle app, select the downloaded EPUB and send it through the app.
Email it to your Kindle
Attach the EPUB to an email and send it to your Kindle’s personal Send-to-Kindle address.
You must send the email from an address on your approved sender list. Otherwise, Amazon will not deliver the file.
The Send to Kindle guide explains each method in more detail.
Step 4: Open the story on your Kindle
After Amazon converts the EPUB, the story appears in your Kindle library. Open your library on a Kindle e-reader or in the Kindle app, then select the book to begin reading.
The downloaded book is separate from the story on Walking the Plank, so chapters added later will not appear automatically. If the story is updated, download it again with WP Downloader and send the new EPUB to your Kindle. WPD cannot add new chapters to an EPUB you already downloaded.
