How to Track Occlumency Stories on Goodreads or The StoryGraph

You can track an Occlumency story on Goodreads or The StoryGraph even if you read it in another app. Since many fanfiction stories are missing from public book databases, you may need to add a Goodreads record or keep your own list in calibre. Start by downloading the story as an EPUB with WP Downloader.

Download the Occlumency story

WP Downloader is a free web tool, and there is nothing to install. It downloads the complete story as a file you can keep and open in an e-book app.

1. Open the story on occlumency.sycophanthex.com.
2. Copy its full URL. An Occlumency story address looks like this:

3. Go to the Occlumency downloader.
4. Paste the story link into the box. WP Downloader will recognize it as an Occlumency link.
5. Choose EPUB, which is free for everyone. You can also choose PDF after signing in with Discord for free.

You do not need an Occlumency account for public stories. Signing in is optional and allows WP Downloader to fetch members-only stories that your account can read. It uses your credentials only to fetch the story you requested. It cannot bypass locked content, paywalls, or age restrictions.

WP Downloader saves the entire Occlumency story. It cannot download one chapter or a list of stories. When an author adds a new chapter, download the story again. WP Downloader cannot update an EPUB you already have.

Track the story on Goodreads

Search Goodreads for the story title and author first. Most fanfiction and web serials are not in its database, so the story may not appear.

If you find a Goodreads record, use it to track your reading while keeping the EPUB in your reading app.

If no record exists, eligible Goodreads members can add one at goodreads.com/book/new. Your account must have a verified email address and must not be brand new. Goodreads requires at least a title and author, which you can copy from the Occlumency story page.

Open the address in a browser on your phone or computer and enter the title and author carefully so readers can identify the work. Goodreads librarians handle later edits and merge duplicate records.

The Goodreads record remains separate from the EPUB. Adding a record does not upload the story, and downloading the story does not add it to Goodreads.

Search The StoryGraph for the title and author. Its database may already have the story, although fanfiction and web serials can be missing.

The StoryGraph does not publish clear official instructions for adding works that are not books. If the story is missing, check its current help pages for guidance. You can still read the EPUB and keep the story on a separate personal list.

Keep a personal library in calibre

If neither service has the story, you can keep it in calibre. This free e-book manager runs on Windows, macOS, and Linux and lets you organize books without a public database.

After installing calibre:

1. Select Add books and choose the EPUB from WP Downloader.
2. Edit the metadata so its title and author match the Occlumency story page.
3. Add or change the cover if needed.
4. Read the book in calibre’s e-book viewer.
5. Use the viewer’s Read aloud feature to have the text spoken aloud.
