How to Track Sam & Jack Stories on Goodreads, StoryGraph, or calibre
To track a Sam & Jack story on Goodreads or The StoryGraph, first save it as an EPUB. You can read the EPUB offline and use a separate entry to record your progress. Many fanfiction stories are missing from book databases, so you may need to add the details yourself or manage the story in calibre.
Download the Sam & Jack story

WP Downloader downloads the whole story from Sam & Jack. It cannot download a single chapter or a list. Signing in with your Sam & Jack account is optional, but it lets the downloader reach members-only stories that your account can read. It cannot bypass locked content or other access restrictions.

Record the story on Goodreads
Most fanfiction and web serials are not in the Goodreads database. Search for the title and author before creating an entry so you do not add a duplicate.
If you find the correct story, use its existing entry to track your reading.
If it is missing, an eligible Goodreads account can add it manually at goodreads.com/book/new. The account must have a verified email and cannot be brand new. You need at least:
- The story title
- The author’s name
Copy both from the Sam & Jack story page. Goodreads librarians handle later edits and merge duplicate entries.
Your EPUB and Goodreads record remain separate. WP Downloader provides the file, while Goodreads records your reading.
Check The StoryGraph
Search The StoryGraph using the story’s exact title and author. If you find a matching entry, use it to track the story.
The story may be missing from The StoryGraph’s database. The service does not publish clear official instructions for adding works that are not books, so check its current help pages for guidance.
If you cannot add the work, you can keep the EPUB in a personal calibre library instead.
Keep a reading list in calibre
calibre is a free e-book manager for Windows, macOS, and Linux. It lets you manage fanfiction in your own library without waiting for an entry to appear on Goodreads or The StoryGraph.
After downloading the EPUB:
- Open calibre on your computer.
- Select Add books.
- Choose the EPUB you downloaded from WP Downloader.
- Review or edit its title, author, cover, and other metadata.
- Keep the file in your calibre library as your reading record.
You can read the story in calibre’s e-book viewer, which has a Read aloud feature. calibre can also send books to a connected e-reader over USB.
If your device requires another format, calibre can convert an EPUB to AZW3, MOBI, or PDF. WP Downloader does not create AZW3, MOBI, or TXT files.

Choose where to keep your record
Use an existing Goodreads or The StoryGraph entry when one matches the story. If Goodreads does not have an entry and your account is eligible, you can add one manually. Otherwise, add the EPUB to calibre and manage its title, author, cover, and file there.
