How to Back Up Dreame Stories for Personal Use

Authors and websites can edit, unpublish, or delete stories. You can keep a personal copy of a Dreame story by downloading it with WP Downloader and storing the resulting EPUB or PDF somewhere safe.

Each download is a snapshot of the story at that time. If the author adds or edits chapters, download the story again to save the newer version.

Download a Dreame story with WP Downloader

WP Downloader is a free web tool with nothing to install. For Dreame, it downloads whole stories rather than individual chapters or lists.

Open the Dreame Downloader.
Copy the Dreame story’s web address. It should look similar to this:

Choose EPUB or PDF. EPUB is free for everyone, while PDF requires a free Discord sign-in.
Choose whether to include the story’s images.
Download the finished file to your device.

You do not need to sign in to Dreame. WP Downloader only includes chapters available to you and does not bypass paid chapters, locked content, or age restrictions.

Choose a backup format

EPUB works well for most personal libraries. It is made for e-book reading, opens in calibre, and can be moved to a compatible e-reader.

PDF keeps a fixed-page layout. Downloading a PDF through WP Downloader requires a free Discord sign-in.

WP Downloader does not create MOBI, AZW3, or TXT files. To use another e-book format, download the EPUB and convert it with calibre.

Store the original download

Keep the original EPUB or PDF as your backup. If necessary, give it a recognizable filename and place it with the rest of your personal e-book library.

To add a Dreame story:

Open calibre.
Select “Add books.”

Check the title, author, cover, and other metadata.
Edit the metadata or cover if needed.

You can read the saved story on your computer with calibre’s e-book viewer. The viewer also has a Read aloud feature.

calibre can convert EPUB files to formats such as AZW3, MOBI, and PDF. It can also send books to a connected e-reader over USB.

Copy the backup to a reading device

Keep the original file in your main backup location before copying or converting it for another device. You will then still have an untouched EPUB or PDF if you change e-readers later.

Update the backup when a story changes

A downloaded EPUB does not receive new chapters automatically, and WP Downloader cannot add chapters to an existing EPUB.

To save the latest available version, return to the Dreame Downloader, paste the story link again, and download the whole story as a new file. You can replace the earlier copy or keep both. Adding the download date to each filename can make the snapshots easier to tell apart.
