Download an AltHistory Story as EPUB or PDF

WP Downloader saves an AltHistory forum story as a single EPUB or PDF. The tool is free to use in your browser, with nothing to install. You do not need an AltHistory account.

Download an AltHistory story with WP Downloader

1. Open the AltHistory Downloader.
2. Copy the URL of the AltHistory story thread.
3. Paste the URL into the downloader box.
4. Choose EPUB or PDF.
5. Choose whether to include the story’s images.
6. Start the download and save the file to your device.

AltHistory stories are forum threads. WP Downloader gathers the threadmarked chapters and puts them into one book.

Anyone can download an EPUB for free. Creating a PDF requires a free Discord sign-in, but you still do not need to sign in to AltHistory.

Use the correct AltHistory URL

Paste the main story thread URL. It should follow this pattern:

https://althistory.com/threads/some-story-name.123456/

Each thread has its own story name and number, but the URL should contain althistory.com/threads/.

WP Downloader downloads the complete story from AltHistory. It does not download individual chapters or lists from this site. If the author adds more threadmarked chapters, download the story again to get the new chapters. The tool cannot update an EPUB you have already saved.

Choose EPUB or PDF

EPUB is free for everyone and does not require a Discord sign-in. You can open the downloaded file in an app that supports EPUB.

PDF requires a free Discord sign-in. Once the file has downloaded, open it in a PDF reader.

WP Downloader does not create MOBI, AZW3, or TXT files.

Read the downloaded story on your device

On a phone or tablet

Download the EPUB or PDF in your browser, then find it in your device’s downloads or files area. Open the file with an EPUB reading app or PDF reader.

If your reading app does not appear as an option, open the app and import the file from there.

On a computer

Save the file somewhere you can find it, such as your downloads folder. Open the EPUB in an EPUB-compatible reading app or the PDF in a PDF reader.

You can also transfer the saved file to another device.

On an e-reader

Sign-in and access notes

You do not need an AltHistory account to download a supported story. Paste its public thread URL and choose a format.

A free Discord sign-in is required for PDF creation. EPUB is available without it. WP Downloader uses account credentials only to fetch the story requested. It does not bypass paywalls, locked chapters, or age restrictions.
