How to listen to Ashwinder stories with text-to-speech

To listen to an Ashwinder story with text-to-speech, download the whole story as an EPUB and open it in an app or device feature that can read EPUB text aloud. WP Downloader is a free web tool, so you do not need to install it.

Download the Ashwinder story as an EPUB

Find the story on ashwinder.sycophanthex.com. Its address should look like this:

Copy the address from your browser, then:

Open the Ashwinder downloader.
Paste the story link into the box.
Choose whether to include the story’s images.

Turn on Speak Screen

Open Settings.
Go to Accessibility.
Select Spoken Content.
Turn on Speak Screen.

Thorium Reader and calibre can read EPUB files aloud on a computer.

Thorium Reader is a free EPUB reader for Windows, macOS, and Linux. Open the Ashwinder EPUB in Thorium Reader, then start its read-aloud feature.

Use calibre

calibre is a free desktop application with an e-book viewer that has a Read aloud feature. Open the EPUB in the e-book viewer and start Read aloud.

Voice quality

Speak Screen, Select to Speak, Moon+ Reader, @Voice Aloud Reader, Thorium Reader, and calibre use the text-to-speech voices installed on your device. How natural the reading sounds depends on the installed voices.

If a voice is hard to understand, open your device’s text-to-speech or spoken-content settings and try another installed voice. Changing the voice does not change the story file.
