How to Print a StoryRoom Story from a PDF

To print a StoryRoom story for personal reading, download the complete story as a PDF with WP Downloader. You can then open the file and print it from your PDF app. PDF keeps a fixed page layout, so it works well for printing.

Download the StoryRoom story as a PDF

WP Downloader is a free web tool that works with storyroom.com and finestories.com. You do not need to install anything.

A StoryRoom link usually looks like this:

https://storyroom.com/s/1234/story-title

To download the PDF:

  1. Copy the StoryRoom story link.
  2. Open the StoryRoom downloader.
  3. Paste the link into the box.
  4. Sign in with an account from that site when prompted. StoryRoom downloads require an account.
  5. Select PDF as the output format.
  6. Sign in with Discord if needed. PDF downloads require a free Discord sign-in.
  7. Choose whether to include the story’s images.
  8. Download the finished PDF to your device.

WP Downloader downloads the entire story. It cannot download a single chapter or a StoryRoom list. It can access only material that your account can already read, and it does not bypass paywalls, locked chapters, or age restrictions.

See how to download StoryRoom stories for a general download guide.

Check the PDF before printing

Open the PDF and check a few pages before printing. Make sure the text is readable, the pages are in the expected order, and any images you included appear in the file.

Check the page count as well, since a long story may use a considerable amount of paper and ink. If you only want part of the story on paper, the print window may let you choose a page range.

Keep the original PDF until you are happy with the printed copy. WP Downloader cannot add new chapters to an existing EPUB or PDF. If the story gains new chapters, download it again to get the updated version.

Print from a computer

Open the PDF in your usual PDF reader or browser. Select its Print command, choose your printer, and check the preview.

Depending on your printer, you may be able to adjust:

  • The pages or page range
  • Paper size
  • Portrait or landscape orientation
  • Color or black-and-white printing
  • Single-sided or double-sided printing
  • The number of copies

The preview shows how the fixed PDF pages will fit on the paper. If any text or images are cut off, check the page-sizing options before printing.

If you are unsure about the settings, print a few pages first. You can print the rest once the test pages look right.

Print from a phone or tablet

Save the PDF somewhere you can open it on your device. Open it in an app that supports printing, then select the app’s Print command.

Choose a printer and review the page range, paper size, orientation, color, and number of copies. The available options and their names depend on your device and app.

If your printer does not appear, keep the PDF and open it later on a computer, or take the file to a print shop.

For paperless reading, you can send StoryRoom stories to Kindle or read StoryRoom stories on Kobo.

Use a print shop

If you do not have a suitable printer at home, a print shop can print the PDF for you. Provide the file using a method the shop accepts and say whether you want the full story or selected pages.

Before approving the job, check the paper size, color, single-sided or double-sided printing, and number of copies. Looking at the PDF’s page count first will also tell you how large the print job is.

Print StoryRoom stories only for your own personal use. Do not sell or distribute printed copies.
