How to Read AlternateHistory Stories in the Kindle App
To read an alternatehistory.com story in the Kindle app, download it as an EPUB with WP Downloader and send the file to your Kindle library. WP Downloader is a free web tool, so you do not need to install anything.
Download the story with WP Downloader
Find the alternatehistory.com story you want to read. Its address should look like this:

You do not need to sign in for public stories. If a story is available only to alternatehistory.com members, you can sign in with your account on that site. WP Downloader uses your credentials only to fetch the story you requested and can download only what your account is allowed to read. It does not bypass locked content or access restrictions.

Add the EPUB to your Kindle library
Send the downloaded EPUB to Amazon with Send to Kindle. Amazon converts the file and adds the book to your Kindle library.
You can send it in three ways:
- Upload it through Send to Kindle on the web.
- Use the Send to Kindle app.
- Email it to your personal Send-to-Kindle address.
When sending the file by email, you must use an approved sender email address.
WP Downloader does not create MOBI or AZW3 files. You do not need either format because Send to Kindle accepts EPUB files and no longer accepts MOBI files.

Open the story in the Kindle app
After Amazon converts the EPUB, the story appears in your Kindle library. Open the Kindle app on your phone or tablet, then select the book from your library to start reading.
The converted book can also appear in your library on a Kindle e-reader, so you can read it in the app or on a Kindle device.
Download newer chapters later
WP Downloader cannot add new chapters to an EPUB you have already downloaded. When the alternatehistory.com thread gets more threadmarked chapters, return to the AlternateHistory downloader and download the whole story again.
Send the new EPUB to your Kindle library using the same process. It will contain the threadmarked chapters that WP Downloader can collect when you download it.
