Read CFA Archive Stories on a Barnes & Noble NOOK

You can read a Comic Fanfiction Authors Archive story offline on a Barnes & Noble NOOK by downloading the complete story as an EPUB with WP Downloader and copying the file to your device.

Copy the EPUB to a NOOK GlowLight

Barnes & Noble calls copying your own files to a NOOK “sideloading.” To sideload the EPUB onto a NOOK GlowLight:

1. Connect the NOOK to your computer with its USB cable.
2. Wait for a drive named “NOOK” to appear on the computer.
3. Find the EPUB you downloaded from WP Downloader.
4. Drag the EPUB onto the NOOK drive.
5. Eject the NOOK from the computer.
6. Unplug the USB cable.

Eject the NOOK before disconnecting it so the computer has time to finish copying the file. You can then open the story on your NOOK and read it offline.

Transfer the story on newer NOOK models

On some newer NOOK models, you need to turn on file transfer after connecting the USB cable.

1. Connect the NOOK to your computer.
2. Swipe down from the top of the NOOK screen.
3. Tap “USB for charging.”
4. Choose “Transfer files (MTP).”
5. On the computer, open the NOOK when it appears.
6. Drag the downloaded EPUB onto the device.
7. Eject the NOOK before unplugging it.

If the NOOK charges but does not appear on your computer, make sure “Transfer files (MTP)” is selected instead of charging mode.

Getting new chapters later

WP Downloader cannot add chapters to an EPUB already stored on your NOOK. When the author publishes new chapters, return to the CFA Archive downloader, paste the story link again, and download a new copy of the complete story.
