How to Read Chireads Stories Offline

To read a Chireads story offline, download it with WP Downloader and open the EPUB or PDF file on your phone, tablet, e-reader, or computer. You do not need a Chireads account.

Download the Chireads story

WP Downloader is a free web tool, with nothing to install.

1. Open the Chireads downloader.
2. Copy the story URL from your browser. A Chireads URL looks like this:

https://chireads.com/category/translatedtales/story-name

3. Paste the link into WP Downloader.
4. Choose whether to include the story’s images.
5. Download the story as an EPUB or PDF.

EPUB downloads are free for everyone. PDF downloads require a free Discord sign-in.

Chireads stories are in French. WP Downloader downloads each story in full, so you cannot use it to download a single chapter or a list of stories from Chireads.

Choose EPUB or PDF

Both formats can be saved on your device for offline reading. Choose the one supported by the reading app or device you plan to use.

EPUB is a common choice for phones, tablets, and e-readers. PDF is another option for computers and tablets.

WP Downloader does not create MOBI, AZW3, or TXT files.

Read on a phone

After downloading the story, open the EPUB or PDF file from your phone’s downloaded files.

For an EPUB:

1. Tap the downloaded file.
2. Choose an app that supports EPUB files.
3. Save or import the book if the app asks.
4. Open the story to make sure it works.

For a PDF, tap the file and choose a PDF reader.

Once the file is saved on your phone, you can open it without returning to Chireads. Check it before you lose internet access.

Read on a tablet

The steps are similar on a tablet:

1. Download the EPUB or PDF with WP Downloader.
2. Open your tablet’s downloaded files.
3. Tap the story file.
4. Choose an EPUB or PDF reading app.
5. Save or import the file if asked.

If you downloaded the story on another device, move the file to your tablet before opening it.

Read on an e-reader

First, check whether your e-reader accepts EPUB or PDF files. Download the story in a supported format, then transfer it using your device’s usual import or send-to-device method.

After the transfer, find the story in the e-reader’s library and open it to confirm that it works.

Read on a computer

Save the downloaded EPUB or PDF somewhere you can find it easily.

Open an EPUB with an application that supports EPUB files. Open a PDF with a PDF reader. Once the file is stored on your computer, you can read it again without visiting Chireads.

Get newly published chapters

WP Downloader cannot add new chapters to an EPUB you already have. When a Chireads story gets new chapters, paste its link into WP Downloader again and download a new copy of the whole story.

Check that the new file opens before replacing the older copy.

Do I need a Chireads account?

No. WP Downloader can download Chireads stories without a Chireads sign-in.

Can I download one Chireads chapter?

No. WP Downloader downloads complete Chireads stories. It does not download individual chapters or story lists from the site.

Can I read the story without internet access?

Yes. Save the EPUB or PDF on your device and open it with a compatible reading app. Check that the file opens before going offline.

Does WP Downloader create MOBI or AZW3 files?
