Read FictionAlley Stories on an Android Phone or Tablet
To read a FictionAlley Archive story on an Android phone or tablet, download it as an EPUB with WP Downloader and open the file in Google Play Books, Moon+ Reader, or another EPUB reader. WP Downloader is a free web tool, so you do not need to install anything to download the story.
Download a FictionAlley story
Find the story page on fictionalley-archive.org or fictionalley.org. A FictionAlley story URL looks like this:

You do not need to sign in to FictionAlley. WP Downloader downloads the complete story from this site, not individual chapters or lists of stories.
Choose EPUB to read the story in an Android reader app. EPUB downloads are free for everyone, and you can include the story’s images.
You can also download a PDF after signing in with Discord for free. PDF uses fixed pages, while EPUB adjusts to different phone and tablet screen sizes. WP Downloader does not create MOBI, AZW3, or TXT files.

Read the EPUB in Google Play Books
Google Play Books accepts your own DRM-free EPUB and PDF files. After uploading a book, you can read it on Android, iPhone, iPad, or the web.
There are two ways to upload the downloaded story:
- On a computer, open the Google Play Books website and upload the file from your computer or Google Drive.
- On your Android device, open the Google Play Books app and upload the EPUB or PDF.
When the upload is complete, open the book in the Play Books app on your phone or tablet. The uploaded book will also be available on your other supported devices.
Google has an upload size limit, which may affect very large books. If the upload fails, open the EPUB directly in an Android reader app instead.
Read the EPUB in Moon+ Reader
Moon+ Reader is an Android app that opens EPUB files. Download the FictionAlley story, then add or open the EPUB in Moon+ Reader.
You can complete the entire process on your Android device: download the story with WP Downloader, open the EPUB in Moon+ Reader, and start reading.
Moon+ Reader also has a built-in text-to-speech mode for listening to the story.
Listen to the story on Android
Android has several options for reading an EPUB aloud.
Use Android Select to Speak
Open Settings, go to Accessibility, and turn on Select to Speak. Once it is enabled, tap an item on the screen to hear it read aloud.
The sound depends on the text-to-speech voices installed on your device.
Use Moon+ Reader
Open the downloaded FictionAlley EPUB in Moon+ Reader and use its built-in text-to-speech mode.
Use @Voice Aloud Reader
@Voice Aloud Reader can also read EPUB files aloud on Android. Open the FictionAlley EPUB in the app to listen with your device’s text-to-speech voices.
All of these options use device-generated voices. How natural they sound depends on the voices installed on your phone or tablet.
Download new chapters later
WP Downloader cannot update an EPUB that you have already downloaded. If the FictionAlley story gets new chapters, return to the FictionAlley downloader, paste the story link again, and download a new copy.
