Read GoodNovel Stories in Google Play Books

Download the free chapters of a GoodNovel story with WP Downloader, then upload the EPUB or PDF to Google Play Books. You can read the uploaded book on the web, an Android device, or an iPhone or iPad.

Before you start

Find the GoodNovel page for the story you want. Its address will look similar to this:

WP Downloader works with English stories from goodnovel.com. It is a free web tool, so there is nothing to install, and you do not need to sign in to GoodNovel.

Google Play Books accepts uploads of DRM-free EPUB and PDF files. WP Downloader offers both formats. EPUB is free for everyone, while PDF requires a free Discord sign-in.

Download the GoodNovel story

Open the GoodNovel Downloader and follow these steps:

1. Copy the full GoodNovel story address.
2. Paste it into the downloader box.
3. Choose EPUB or PDF.
4. Choose whether to include the story’s images.
5. Start the download and save the file.

EPUB is the easier choice if you do not want to sign in through Discord. Choose PDF if that is your preferred reading format and you are willing to use the free Discord sign-in.

WP Downloader downloads the whole available story. It does not download individual chapters or reading lists from GoodNovel. Only free chapters are included. Paid chapters are left out, and the downloader does not buy or unlock them.

Upload the file to Google Play Books

You can upload the EPUB or PDF from the Google Play Books website on a computer or from the Play Books Android app.

From a computer

Open the Google Play Books website and select its upload option. Choose the EPUB or PDF from your computer, or select it from Google Drive.

A very large story file may reach Google’s upload size limit.

From an Android phone or tablet

Save the EPUB or PDF somewhere you can find it on your Android device. Open the Google Play Books app and use its upload option to add the file.

Read on an iPhone or iPad

Upload the file through the Google Play Books website on a computer. You can then open Google Play Books on your iPhone or iPad and read the story there.

Open the story

After uploading the file, open the story in Google Play Books. It will be available through the Play Books website and mobile apps.

Keep the original EPUB or PDF if you may need it again. WP Downloader cannot add new chapters to an existing EPUB. When more free chapters become available on GoodNovel, download the whole story again and upload the new file.

Choose EPUB or PDF

Choose EPUB if you want a standard ebook file without signing in through Discord.

Choose PDF if you prefer that format and do not mind the free Discord sign-in.

Google Play Books accepts both formats. Neither one will contain paid GoodNovel chapters.
