How to Read GoodNovel Stories Offline on a Flight

Download your GoodNovel story before the flight and save the EPUB or PDF on the device you plan to use. Once the file is on your phone, tablet, Kindle, or other reading device, you can open it without an internet connection.

Download the GoodNovel story before your flight

WP Downloader is a free web tool with nothing to install. While you still have internet access, open the GoodNovel Downloader and find the GoodNovel story you want to read.

A GoodNovel story link looks like this:

Copy the story link and paste it into the box. WP Downloader detects that the link is from GoodNovel and downloads all available free chapters as one book. It cannot download an individual chapter or a list from this site.

You do not need to sign in to GoodNovel. Paid chapters are left out, and WP Downloader does not buy or unlock them.

Choose EPUB or PDF

WP Downloader offers two formats:

• EPUB is free for everyone and works with apps and devices that support EPUB files.
• PDF requires a free Discord sign-in and can be opened in a PDF reader.

You can choose whether to include the story’s images.

WP Downloader does not create MOBI, AZW3, or TXT files. For a Kindle, download the EPUB or PDF and use Amazon’s Send to Kindle service before your flight.

Put the story on your reading device

Check that the file has reached the phone, tablet, e-reader, or app you intend to use during the flight.

Reading on a phone or tablet

Download the EPUB or PDF to your phone or tablet, then open it in an app that supports the format. Open it before leaving so you know the file is stored on the device.

If you use several devices, check the one you are taking. Downloading the book to your computer does not put it on your phone or tablet.

Reading in the Kindle app or on a Kindle e-reader

Amazon’s Send to Kindle accepts EPUB and PDF files. You can send the file by email from an approved sender address to your Kindle’s Send-to-Kindle address, through the Send to Kindle app, or on the web.

Amazon converts the EPUB during delivery. The book then appears in your Kindle library on Kindle e-readers and in the Kindle app.

Send the book while you still have an internet connection. Delivery cannot finish in airplane mode. There is no need to convert the file to MOBI, which Send to Kindle no longer accepts.

Reading on Kobo

Download the EPUB and follow the instructions for reading GoodNovel stories on Kobo. Complete the transfer and open the book before you travel.

Test it in airplane mode

Test the book before your flight:

1. Finish downloading or transferring the story.
2. Open it in your reading app or on your e-reader.
3. Turn on airplane mode.
4. Close the book, open it again, and move through a few chapters.
5. Keep airplane mode on while you confirm that the file opens without Wi-Fi.

If the story does not open, reconnect to the internet and repeat the download or delivery. WP Downloader cannot add new chapters to an existing EPUB. If more free chapters become available, download the story again to create a new file.

Preflight checklist

Before leaving for the airport, check that:

• You downloaded the story while connected to the internet.
• You chose EPUB or PDF for your app or device.
• The file is on the device you are taking.
• Any Send to Kindle delivery has finished.
• The book opens in airplane mode.
• The download contains only GoodNovel’s free chapters.

Can I read the downloaded story without Wi-Fi?

Yes. Once the EPUB or PDF is stored on your device and opens in your reading app, you can read it without an internet connection.

Does WP Downloader include paid GoodNovel chapters?

No. It includes only free chapters. Paid chapters are left out, and nothing is purchased or unlocked.

Do I need a GoodNovel account?
