Read Inkitt Stories in Apple Books

To read an Inkitt story in Apple Books, download it as an EPUB or PDF with WP Downloader and import the file into Books. This works on iPhone, iPad, and Mac. Once imported, the story stays in your Apple Books Library for offline reading.

What you need

Start with the link to the Inkitt story you want to read. An Inkitt story URL looks like this:

You also need your Inkitt email address and password. WP Downloader requires you to sign in to your Inkitt account before it can retrieve the story.

WP Downloader is a free web tool, and you do not need to install anything. It downloads whole Inkitt stories, not individual chapters. It can only download chapters your Inkitt account can already read. It cannot bypass locked chapters, paywalls, or age restrictions.

Step 1: Download the Inkitt story

Open the Inkitt Story Downloader in your browser:

1. Copy the Inkitt story URL.
2. Paste it into the box on WP Downloader.
3. Sign in with your Inkitt email address and password.
4. Choose whether to include the story’s images.
5. Select EPUB or PDF.
6. Download the finished file to your device.

EPUB is free for everyone. PDF requires a free Discord sign-in. WP Downloader does not create MOBI, AZW3, or TXT files.

Step 2: Add the story to Apple Books on iPhone or iPad

After downloading the EPUB or PDF, open it from Safari’s downloads or the Files app and share it to Apple Books.

From Safari’s downloads

1. Open Safari and go to its downloads.
2. Tap the downloaded EPUB or PDF.
3. Tap Share.
4. Choose Books.

Apple Books will import the file and place the story in your Library.

From the Files app

If you saved the story in Files:

1. Open the Files app.
2. Find the downloaded EPUB or PDF.
3. Open the file, or press and hold it to see its options.
4. Tap Share.
5. Choose Books.

When the import is complete, you can find the story in your Apple Books Library.

Step 3: Add the story to Apple Books on Mac

You can drag an EPUB into Apple Books on a Mac:

1. Open the Books app.
2. Find the EPUB in Finder.
3. Drag it into the Books window.
4. Find the imported story in your Library.

You can also open Books and choose File, then Add to Library. Select the EPUB or PDF you downloaded, and Books will add it to your Library.

Getting new chapters

WP Downloader cannot add new chapters to an EPUB you have already downloaded. When the author updates the story, return to the Inkitt downloader, paste the story link again, and download a new copy.

The new file will contain the chapters your Inkitt account can read at that time. Import it into Apple Books using the same steps.
