Read Lumos Stories in Apple Books

To read a Lumos story in Apple Books, download it as an EPUB with WP Downloader and add the file to Books. You can do this on an iPhone, iPad, or Mac.

Download a Lumos story

WP Downloader is a free web tool, and you do not need to install anything. Open the Lumos downloader and copy the link to the story you want.

A Lumos story address looks like this:

Paste the link into the box. WP Downloader will recognize it as a Lumos story and prepare the download.

You do not need to sign in to Lumos. For this site, WP Downloader downloads the entire story. It cannot download an individual chapter or a list of stories.

Choose EPUB for Apple Books. EPUB downloads are free for everyone, and you can include the story’s images in the file.

Apple Books can also open PDFs. WP Downloader requires a free Discord sign-in for PDF downloads and does not create MOBI, AZW3, or TXT files.

Add the story on iPhone or iPad

Once the EPUB has downloaded, open it from Safari’s downloads or the Files app.

From Safari’s downloads

Open Safari’s downloads and select the EPUB. Choose Share, then select Books.

The story will be imported into your Apple Books Library. Open it there when you are ready to read.

From the Files app

Find the downloaded EPUB in Files. Select it, choose Share, and then select Books.

The story will appear in your Apple Books Library. These steps are the same on iPhone and iPad.

You can add a downloaded PDF to Books in the same way.

Add the story on Mac

Download the story as an EPUB with the Lumos downloader, then open the Books app on your Mac. Drag the EPUB into the app to add it to your Library.

You can also use the menu:

Open the Books app.
Choose File.
Select Add to Library.
Find and select the downloaded EPUB.

Once the file is in your Library, open it to start reading. Apple Books can also open a PDF downloaded from WP Downloader.

Get new chapters

WP Downloader cannot update an EPUB you have already downloaded. If the Lumos story gets new chapters, paste its link into WP Downloader again and download a new copy of the whole story.

Add the new EPUB to Apple Books using the same steps.
