How to Read MediaMiner Stories on a PocketBook
To read a MediaMiner story on a PocketBook e-reader, download the complete story as an EPUB with WP Downloader and transfer the file through Send-to-PocketBook or USB. WP Downloader is a free web tool, so there is nothing to install. You do not need to sign in to MediaMiner.
Download the MediaMiner story as an EPUB
Find the story on mediaminer.org. Its URL should look like this:
https://www.mediaminer.org/fanfic/s/category-name/story-title/123456 Copy the URL from your browser’s address bar. Open the MediaMiner downloader, paste the URL into the box, and choose EPUB. WP Downloader detects the site and prepares the story for download. You can also include the story’s images.
PocketBook e-readers read EPUB files directly, so no conversion is needed.
WP Downloader downloads complete MediaMiner stories. It cannot download a single chapter or a list from this site. If the author publishes more chapters, download the complete story again and transfer the new EPUB. WP Downloader cannot update an EPUB you already have.
No MediaMiner account is required. WP Downloader only retrieves content that is already available to read and does not bypass locked content, paywalls, or age restrictions. MediaMiner stories are in English.

Send the EPUB with Send-to-PocketBook
You can use Send-to-PocketBook to email the EPUB to your reader. Set up the service on the PocketBook:
- Open Settings.
- Select Accounts and synchronization.
- Open Send-to-PocketBook.
- Open the activation email.
After activation, you receive a personal address ending in @pbsync.com. Attach the MediaMiner EPUB to an email and send it to that address, then sync your PocketBook to receive the file.
If the EPUB does not arrive, check whether the email address you sent it from is on the approved list. Send-to-PocketBook may ask you to whitelist the address. Once it is approved, send the EPUB again and sync the reader.
Transfer the story over USB
You can also copy the EPUB from your computer to the PocketBook:
- Connect the PocketBook to the computer with a USB cable.
- Open the reader’s storage.
- Copy the downloaded EPUB to the device.
- Disconnect the reader.
- Open the story on your PocketBook.
This method lets you transfer the file without setting up Send-to-PocketBook.
Can I use PDF instead?
PocketBook e-readers read EPUB and PDF files. EPUB downloads are free for everyone. Creating a PDF with WP Downloader requires a free Discord sign-in.
You can transfer either format with Send-to-PocketBook or USB. WP Downloader does not create MOBI, AZW3, or TXT files.
Other e-readers
The transfer steps depend on your device. See the guides for sending MediaMiner stories to Kindle or reading MediaMiner stories on Kobo.
WP Downloader’s support for MediaMiner and other fiction archives was ported from FanFicFare, the open-source fanfiction downloader.
