How to Read Pretender Centre Stories Offline

WP Downloader lets you save a complete Missing Pieces story as an EPUB or PDF, which you can then read offline on a phone, tablet, e-reader, or computer. The tool is free to use in your browser, with nothing to install.

Download the Missing Pieces story

Open the story you want on the Missing Pieces section of Pretender Centre. Its address should look like this:

Copy the full address from your browser, then open the Pretender Centre downloader. Paste the link into the box, and WP Downloader will detect the site.

Choose an output format:

EPUB is free for everyone.
PDF requires a free Discord sign-in.

You do not need a Pretender Centre account. WP Downloader saves the whole story and cannot download a single chapter or a list of stories from this archive.

If the author adds more chapters, paste the story link into WP Downloader again and download a new copy. The tool cannot add new chapters to an EPUB you already have.

Read the story offline on a phone

Download the EPUB or PDF while you are connected to the internet. Once the file is on your phone, open it with an app that supports the chosen format.

If an EPUB opens in your browser or file manager, use the share or open-with option to move it to your reading app. Open a PDF with a PDF reader.

Open the book once before going offline and check that its chapters are present.

Read the story offline on a tablet

The steps are similar on a tablet:

Copy the Missing Pieces story link.

If you keep several stories, store them in a folder where you can find them easily. After downloading a newer copy of a story, check that you have opened the new file instead of the old one.
